My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, let us on this day abide in the joy of the Lord, for as it is written in Nehemiah 8:10 His joy is our strength and as it says: "Then He said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our LORD: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength."
I know that it can be very depressing and upsetting at times to our souls, when we suffer persecution and are so hated by the heathen and sometimes even our loved ones who are not saved, for the Lord's name sake, as I am also a partaker of His sufferings. But as our brother of old Nehemiah, said in the Lord's Word, to not be sorry (or grieve) for the joy of the LORD is our strength (or our sustenance), let us keep our focus and hope on and in the Lord, for we are not alone, especially during our times of darkness.
Also the key that Nehemiah also gives us here is "to give or send portions to them who have nothing," for as we give unto others what they need, as the Lord provides, we ourselves are no longer focusing on our own troubles needs and persecutions, but on the needs of others, especially of those of the saints in the Lord's house, for we must remember them first, as they are our brothers and sisters in Christ, then the poor and needy of the world especially the Jews, God's ancient people. And with this the Lord is well pleased, as we are no longer focusing on ourselves and our trials, as we serve others, for when we do this, we are also serving Him and He continues to fight for us, our battles, through His angels and Holy Spirit here on this earth. And I with the Lord say, woe unto those who touch the Lord's anointed people, for the Jews and Saints of God are the apple of His eye and unless they repent of their sins unto Him, they will have a lot to answer to the Lord on judgment day!!
May we all who belong to Him, find in Him the strength or joy we need daily, to stand after having done all and not doubt His love for us especially in times of great persecutions and trials in our lives. For remember that He promised us in 1 Kings 8:12 that "He will dwell in the thick darkness" through King Solomon. This is what it says: "Then spake Solomon, The LORD said that He would dwell in the thick darkness." Or during our times of great trials and tribulations in our lives.
So my fellow brother and sister in Jesus: hold onto your faith and wait on the Lord, for He promises us in Psalms 27: 14 to: "Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD."
So let us encourage ourselves in the Lord, as King David did in his time and wait on Papa God, for our God is mighty and faithful, and will come through for us, His people, for we are His beloved and the apple of His eye and has engraved or carved our names in the Palms of His hands, as it says in Isaiah 49:16. Thank you Lord for your love and blessed be your Holy name!!
