Abiding In The Fear Of The Lord

Updated: Oct 11, 2021

Good day to you my beloved brother or sister in our Almighty and Loving Savior and Lord Jesus Christ, our Light and Life in our lives and in this world. Blessed be His holy and mighty Name! It is my prayer that this devotion and lovely day finds you and your loved ones well and anchored in the Lord and in your hope and faith in God! For remember that as Christians, we have hope, as an anchor of the soul, as we daily abide in Him and are rooted and grounded in Him and in His Holy and Mighty Word, as we read by our beloved and bold brother Paul the Apostle in Hebrews 6:18-20 "That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; Wither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made and high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec."

For remember that true Christians have a secured hope in this world in JESUS and therefore we must keep our eyes, minds and hearts stayed on Him, so we are not moved in our faith and walk in God, when trials and tribulations come. For the days will continue to get darker and evil and our trials will continue to increase in this world and also through great persecutions. For remember that the Lord has promised us that He will be with us until the end of the world and will keep him or her in perfect peace whose mind is stayed or focused on Him, as He is also in full control of all things that happen in this world, as we read in the Book of Romans, Colossians and in the Book of Isaiah the Prophet in Isaiah 26:3-5 "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength: For He bringeth down them that dwell on high; the lofty city, He layeth it low; He layeth it low, even to the ground; He bringeth it even to the dust."

So remain strong, as you face the dark night of the soul and walk through the valley of the shadow of death in your life and do not fall away or leave the Lord, as you need Him greatly and the most in your life to help you, comfort you and see you through that trial and through life. For remember that Jesus suffered and more than we have or will ever do in this world, as it says in the Book of Isaiah that there was no man whose visage or countenance and form was worse than His in Isaiah 52:13-14 "Behold, my servant shall deal prudently, He shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high. As many were astonied at thee; His visage was so marred more than any man, and His form more than the sons of men:"

For we have a Savior, Beloved God and Lord who greatly loves us and understands us better than anyone else can or ever will in this world, as it says in Hebrews 4:15-16 "For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." So as the Lord says and would say: "Watch and pray ye always!!" "Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." Matthew 26:41.

On this day let us also remember to remain in the fear of the Lord all the day long and not assume that because we are saved and close to Him, we can willfully sin against Him and take Him and His name for granted. For remember and as He reminds me to give you this scripture of what He says in the Gospel of Luke in Luke 12:45-48 "But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth His coming and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken; The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for Him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers. And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to His will, shall be beaten with many stripes. But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more."

For there is not a man, woman, teenager and child in this world that can save himself or herself from the wrath and judgment of God here on earth and later in hell and the Lake of Fire that burns with fire and brimstone. Therefore we must remain in His fear and not assume that we fully know Him. For remember that we truly do not know the Lord fully, but are getting to know Him slowly, as we daily walk with Him and die to self. For know and as the Lord has told me that the devil before he was cast out from heaven with his fallen angels lived with God for eons of time, a long time and did not fully know the LORD or the Holy Trinity and did not know that the Lord gets angry, when you tempt Him, provoke Him to anger and come against Him, as Lucifer did and encouraged a third of the Angel's population to come against the LORD Almighty.

For I myself as I daily walk with the Lord and have been saved since 2003, have yet to know Him. For every time I spend time with Him, He shows me and I see where I have fallen short of His glory and am not 100 % where my walk should be with Him. And it makes me wonder who in the end is going to make it to Heaven? For this is why the Apostle Peter wrote in 1 Peter 4:17-19 "For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?" So please spend time with the Lord daily in His Word and as He leads you to where His true voice is at, so you can get to know Him and not assume that you are saved. For once saved is not always saved. For we are called to work out our salvation with fear and trembling in Philippians 2:12 "Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling."

And this is also why our beloved Apostle Paul wrote and wanted to know Him and the power of His resurrection, when he wrote it in Philippians 3:9-12 "And be found in Him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith. That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death. If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus."

For although our God is loving, long-suffering, patient, kind and merciful and gives us His time of grace, know that at the end of our lives, we will have to give Him an account of our lives on Judgment Day if we are not saved and at the Judgment Seat of Christ for the believer in Him. For as it is written in Hebrews 9:27 "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:" And also in Hebrews 12:14 "Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:" And as the Lord reminds me to give you these scriptures, so I obey Him in which He says in Proverbs 9:10-12 "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased. If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: but if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it." And in Job 28:28 "And unto man He said, Behold, the fear of the LORD, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding."

Go with God, have a blessed, joyous and peaceful day and week, remembering to daily abide in the fear of the Lord all the day long, as we are commanded to daily do in Proverbs 23:17 "Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the LORD all the day long." And in Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep His commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil." So fear Him always and believe in His Holy Word and in everything He says to you and has said, for God cannot lie. And remember that HE is GOD ALMIGHTY! So don't tempt Him nor provoke Him to anger! Blessed be his Holy Name, always!!
