Walking In Love And Forgiveness by Nanyamka Boyer
Saints of the Most High God, and beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, let us remember to walk in love and in forgiveness towards our neighbor (or fellow man, the unbeliever), brothers and sisters in Christ, as well as with our enemies.
I know this is not easy to do at times, especially towards our enemies, but let us remember to ask the Lord to give us His grace to do His will, especially to forgive those who trespass against us, so that we can also receive His forgiveness.
For remember what He says in His Word in Matthew 6: 14:15 "For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."
So it is that we must forgive our fellow man, in order for us to be forgiven daily of our sins. And saints, we need the Lord's forgiveness in order to be in right standing with Him and go to Heaven, so when you can't do anything on your own before the Lord, ask the Lord to give you the grace (or strength) that you need to do it. For the Lord also says in His Word in John 15: 5 "I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing."
So as we see, we need Him for all things in this world, even to give us the strength to forgive others and our enemies when they sin against us. And remember what the Lord promises us in His Word: "Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord." So let us wait on the Lord's justice, for the Lord hates sin and evil, and if the person who trespasses against you does not repent of his sins unto the Lord and to you, the offended one, then know that the Lord will judge that one, for sinning against you and for all their own previous sins, they have committed against the Lord.
So ask the Lord to give you the grace to forgive others, so you can then boldly say as Paul said in Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!" Even the grace to forgive those who trespass against us!
