The Battle Is The Lord's!

The Battle Is The Lord's! By Nanyamka Boyer

My fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, greetings, may you on this day be walking in the Lord's amazing grace and holding onto His unchanging hand. On this day let us remember that when we continue to abide in Him and in His Word, the Lord fights our battles, against the enemy of our souls and gives us the victory, even at times when he uses people to come against us, as it could also be our loved ones at times.

For remember what the Lord Jesus says in His Word in Matthew 10: 36 "A man's enemies will be the members of his own household." So as we can see sometimes the devil will use our loved ones saved or unsaved to come against us, as the Lord says, especially when they are NOT saved, as we live in this flesh and will continue to fall short of the glory of God, including the unbeliever, until He takes us, (His saints) home. But the difference is with the believer who fears the Lord is that we do not sin against Him willfully, for we fear Him. And also remember what the Apostle Paul says in Ephesians 6: 12 "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand."

So precious beloved brothers and sisters, for you are so precious in the eyes of our Lord, as you are His precious jewels, let us be strong and wise in the Lord in this world, for we are in a spiritual war and there is no discharge from it, as it says in Ecclesiastes 8:8 "There is no man that hath power over the spirit to retain the spirit (when he dies): neither has he power in the day of death: AND THERE IS NO DISCHARGE IN THAT WAR; neither shall wickedness deliver those that are given to it." So let us remain wise by abiding daily in the Lord, so that when our turn to leave this world comes, we can enter into His peace and  presence in Heaven and hear Him say: "Well done, good and faithful servant, thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord." Matthew 25: 23.  "For to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord," as Paul the Apostle says in 2 Corinthians 5: 8.

So let us take heed as the Lord tells us through the Apostle Paul, to put on the whole armour of God, so we may be able to withstand in the evil day, for remember what the Lord tell us in Matthew 5:45 "...For He maketh His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust." So with this we also understand that bad things or times of suffering happen to both the just and the unjust, as He also sends His natural rain showers to all of us His creation and His children through Jesus. But we also know that when His people suffer it is for the purpose of purification and so that we are not judged with the world, when the world is judged.

And as we already know that when suffering comes upon the wicked, it is because of their many sins against the Lord and against others, as it is His judgement or punishment upon them and for the purpose to also point them to the Savior, for salvation and deliverance from Satan and from their wicked ways.

So saints of the most High God, let us be ready daily to withstand (or to resist the devil) and stand in the evil day after having done all to stand, for as it says in Ecclesiastes 9: 12 "For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them." And what our Lord tells us in John 16: 33 "These things have I spoken unto you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."

So we know as saints of the most High God that, that day will come again soon to all of us, so let us remain ready and do not forget to ask the Lord to give us His amazing grace to see us through our next trial in Him and to keep us under His blood and within His hedge of protection. And last but not least, do not forget to use your sword, which is the Word of God against the devil, as Jesus did when he tempted Him in the wilderness during those 40 days, for the Lord wants us to daily imitate Him and act like Him, as He changes us from the inside out, so we can fully be like Him.

God bless you and remember to remain strong in and for Jesus until He takes you home and to pray without ceasing, as we are commanded to do daily in His Word. Have a blessed and joyous day!
