Choosing Each Day Whom We Will Serve

My fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, may this day find you in good health and at peace with God, let us remember that each day of our lives, from the moment the Lord wakes us up in the morning (saint or sinner alike) that we must choose whom we will serve, whether it be the Lord or the enemy of our souls, the devil, by choosing to serve our selves instead of the Lord. For remember that it is the Lord who commands our mornings and gives us His grace to live another day and have the chance to yield to Him more fully, as He told Job in the book of Job 38: 12 " Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days: and caused the dayspring to know his place.."

For the Lord commands us and tells us in His Word that we must deny ourselves daily and carry our crosses, so we must die daily to our flesh and sinful nature for our own good, so we must be holy as He is and be able to stand before Him on judgment day, for we know that without holiness no man shall see God, as it is written in Hebrews 12: 14, and as He says in Matthew 16: 24 "Then said Jesus unto His disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me."

So as we see, we must choose the Lord each day, if we are going to make it to heaven, as we have no other choice, but to follow Him daily. Also remember that the Lord understands that some days are harder than others for us to follow Him, as we get weary sometimes because our flesh is weak and the road gets harder sometimes, but remember that the Lord gives us grace to go through our days and trials and tribulations so that we can endure until the end. And if you need more grace, don't be shy to ask Him, for remember what the Lord says that apart from Him, we can do nothing in John 15: 5, so He understands and is willing to help us, if we only ask Him.

So let us stay submitted to Him and to His Word and ways, for it is better to suffer for righteousness sake than for evil (or for being evil), as the Apostle Peter says in 1 Peter 3: 14 & 17 "But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror (of the wicked's), neither be troubled.... For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing."

And let us remember that our God is love and gracious and will not ever give us what we can not bear or handle or abandon us in our trials. So as the Apostle Paul was, let us always be strong and courageous and say: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4: 13. And "none of these things move me" as he said in the book of Acts 20: 24.

So be strong and don't let the devil, through the stuff he throws at you, separate you from the love of God through Christ Jesus our Lord and continue to abide in the Lord and seek Him always, especially when you are down in your spirit and heart, by spending time with Him, so He can encourage you and strengthen your heart and spirit, for only in Him can we find hope, satisfaction and true love. God bless you and have a blessed day!
