Peace In The Midst Of The Storm! By Nanyamka Boyer
My fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, greetings in the name of the Lord. It is my prayer that you are having a blessed day and all is well with you and yours! Let us on this day remember that our Lord is our and the Prince of Peace of this world, the Lily of the Valleys and the calm in the midst of our storms.
For in Jesus there's peace and hope at all times, especially when we are going through dark times in our lives or times of suffering. For He came to give us hope and comfort, as it says in Isaiah 9:6 "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, the Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."
So please know that in our Beloved Savior Jesus Christ, you will find peace in your life, when all of Hell seems to be breaking loose, and there's turmoil in your life and in the world. For we obtain this, by abiding in Him daily and by keeping our thoughts and minds stayed on Him, as the Lord has just reminded me, so I could give it unto you, as it says in Isaiah 26:3 "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee."
Remember how the Lord was asleep in the boat with His disciples and how a great tempest in the sea arose and how afraid His disciples were? And how the Lord calmed the storm after having reproved them, for their lack of faith in Him? This we read in Matthew 8:23-27. Let us read what it says: "And when He was entered into a ship, His disciples followed Him. And behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but He was asleep. And His disciples came to Him, and awoke Him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish. And He saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then He arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him!"
So hold on to your faith and call on the Lord to come through for you and calm the storm in and of your life and spend time with Him in His Word, so He can calm the storm of inner turmoil in your soul too, when you are worrying and are without faith and without His peace.
God bless you and remember to keep your heart and mind stayed on Jesus, so you can remain in perfect peace, because your mind is being stayed on Him, as He says in Isaiah 26:3.
