Not Compromising Our Faith By Nanyamka Boyer
May you be in good health and be having a blessed day, my beloved brothers and sisters in Christ. On this day, let us remember to be strong in and for our Lord Jesus Christ, and NOT compromise our faith as we walk with Him, as He says in 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteusness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty."
So brethren, do no compromise your faith for the sake of acceptance, as the Lord has just told me to tell you, for He alone accepts you as you are and is ready to receive you and help you overcome your flesh, sin and the devil in this world, by giving you His grace, if you let Him. So you can make it in this world and to Heaven. And we know that as Christians we are not going to be accepted in this world, by those who choose to remain in their sins. For remember what the Lord tells us in the gospel of John in John 7:7 "The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil."
And we also know that as the Apostle Paul says in 2 Timothy 3:12-14, so it is "Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived." Remember also what our Lord says in Luke 9:26 "For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in His Father's, and of the holy angels."
And as He says in Joshua 24:15 "And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites (now those who are evil and are all around us, who don't fear the Lord), in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."
And as also the Lord says in Matthew 6:24 "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon (or wealth).
Brethren, there's no better and safe place to be in this world, but in the Lord only, as His love for us is pure, perfect and complete and will never abandon us or fail us, especially during our times of great need. So don't ever be ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first and also to the Greek (now the Gentile nations), as the Apostle Paul says in Romans 1:16.
So it is the Lord's prayer and mine that you will be wise and choose Him daily and at that completely who is LIFE, without ever compromising your faith. For in the Lord, there's NO room for compromise and lukewarmness. For either you are His completely or NOT! And believe me, the Lord knows who are truly His, for saying that you are, without abiding in Him, not obeying His commandments and not having an intimate relationship with Him daily, does not make you His.
For remember that we are known by the fruits we produce and bear, as the Lord says in Matthew 7:16.
