There's Power In Prayer! By Nanyamka Boyer
My beloved brethren in our Lord Jesus Christ, may you be having a blessed day and be found with peace and having the joy of the Lord in your heart.
On this day, let us remember to continue to seek the Lord's face in praise and worship, as well as in prayer. For there is truly power in prayer, for do you realize that so many things that you have prayed against, have been advert it, because of your faithful prayers to the Lord? The Lord has told me to know and believe that our prayers are making a difference. For we do not serve a deaf or dead God, who cannot hear nor see, but a living God, who cares, hears and is very concerned on our safety, our protection and provision in and for our lives.
Don't ever doubt your faith in the Lord, that your prayers are making a difference and that your prayers are being heard in Heaven, as you are waiting on the Lord to come through for you. For as I write this, I heard the Lord remind me to let you know what He says in Ecclesiastes 3:11 "He hath made every thing beautiful in His time: also He hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end."
Also remember what James, the brother of our Lord Jesus, says in James 5:16 "Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." And the Lord says that many of you do not have what you desire, because of your lack of prayer in your life, for He also says through His brother James in James 4:2 "Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not." And also in John 16:24 He encourages us: "Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full."
So ask and ask, as He says in Matthew 7:7-8 "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened," so He can grant you, your hearts' desires according to His will in and for your life.
Remember that not praying it's a sin before the Lord, as the Prophet Samuel said in 1 Samuel 2:23 "Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the LORD by ceasing to pray for you; but I will instruct you in the good and right way."
Know that the Lord will answer your prayer quickly when it is an emergency, for He is a very present help in times of need or trouble, as it says in Psalms 46:1. But some other prayers that are not an emergency in His eyes, as you grow older in Him and walk with Him, He will teach you to seek Him fervently until you find Him and receive what you desire for Him to do for you, as He says through the Apostle Paul in Romans 5: 3-5 "And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us."
Remember that when we pray we command the Lord in a humble way, to work on our behalf, as He says in Isaiah 45:11 "Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and His maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me."
The Lord has also told me a while back, when He first saved me, to: "Nag on me!" So continue to pull on His robe like the woman with the issue of blood until He answers or the answer to your prayers come through, for the Lord likes persistence and is building in you His character of long-suffering, resilience, as He had when He first came and His defiance against the devil, the enemy of our souls!
So just as Jabez prayer was granted, so will yours also be if you do not give up on God and on your faith in Him, for our God is faithful and always comes through for us, especially when we need His help the most, so as He says in Luke 18:1 "And He spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;"
So don't give up, as the answers to your prayers are on their way to you. Always try to remember where your help comes from, as it says in Psalms 121:2. So keep on praying and keep on seeking Him! God bless you!!
