Keeping Our Hearts With All Diligence!

Updated: May 20, 2021

Good day to you my beloved brother or sister in our Beloved Savior and Lord Jesus Christ, our Great I Am! May you be enjoying this beautiful day with your loved ones and be found abiding in the Lord, in His joy and walking in and in fellowship with Him in an intimate relationship that surpasses all human (or the unbeliever's) understanding, but only that you and the Lord understand.

On this day let us remember to guard our hearts with steadiness from all anger, hate, bitterness, unforgiveness, pride, arrogance, haughtiness, self-righteousness, self-centeredness, seeking self-recognition, the lust of the eyes (which is also coveting material things in this world and whatsoever and whosoever belongs to your neighbor), the lust of the flesh, the pride of life. As the Lord tells us through His beloved Apostle John in 1 John 2:16 "For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world."

And also as the Lord says through our beloved and courageous brother the Apostle Paul in Galatians 5:19-21 "Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness (or sexual desires), idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance (or quarreling), emulations (or endeavor to excel others in achievement or competition), wrath (or fury), strife, seditions (or inciting people to resist or rebel against authority), heresies (or opinions contrary to religious (especially Christian) doctrine), envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings (or having great pleasure from a situation or experience or indulgence), and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God."

So let us take heed to what our Lord tells us in Proverbs 4:23 which is to: "Keep (or guard) your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life." For as we guard our hearts from these sins, we protect and keep ourselves from walking in the flesh, which defiles us, by causing us to sin against the Lord and others, and separates us from God. For remember what He tells us in Proverbs 23:7 "For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he..." And what our beloved and sweet, blessed Savior says in Luke 6:45 "A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh." And just as I write this, I heard the Lord say: "Either make the tree good and his fruit good, or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit," as He says in Matthew 12:33.

So you ask what does the Lord mean by this? This is what He means: for when we allow evil thoughts or sins to enter into our hearts, by taking heed to the evil thoughts, that the devil puts in our minds, and by not casting those vain imaginations, as Paul the Apostle tells us to do in 2 Corinthians 10:5 "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.."  And by not guarding our heart's gates, we allow all of the fruits of the flesh, that the Lord through the Apostle Paul and the Apostle John tells us in 1 John 2:16 and in Galatians 5:19-21, to defile us, as the Lord tells us in Matthew 15:18 "But those things which proceed out of the mouth, come from the heart; and they defile a man."

For we are as trees before the Lord, and either we are or become trees of righteousness, by producing good fruit or the fruits of the Spirit, as the Lord through the Apostle Paul tells us in Galatians 5: 21-26 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance (or self-control): against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another." Or we make the tree bad and its' fruits and corrupt ourselves and others, or make it good and be a blessing to others, for it's either one or the other that we are and become.

So for us to be able to walk in the fruits of the Spirit that the Lord through the Apostle Paul tells us in Galatians 5: 21-26, we must stay submitted to the Lord daily, by walking in agreement and cooperation with Him, through the Holy Spirit, so we can then guard and keep our hearts from evil with all diligence.

For remember that apart from Him, we can do nothing, as He tells us in John 15:5 "I am the vine, ye are the branches: he that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit (here we see that the Lord means the fruits of the Spirit): for without me ye can do nothing."

So let us continue to abide daily in the Lord, by staying submitted to Him throughout our Days to His Word, so we can ALL say as the Apostle Paul said in Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ which (or who) strengthens me!" So we can walk in love, peace, joy, hope, strength and faith, and so that we can also represent the Lord as He is to the lost in this world. For remember that our Lord died for them also and is NOT willing for them to perish, but for them to come to repentance and to the knowledge of the truth, which or who is Him, as He says in 2 Peter 3:8-10 "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."

Go with God, have a blessed, joyous and peaceful week knowing that the Lord greatly loves you and will always grant you His amazing grace for you to obey Him and make it through this world. Blessed be His holy name now and forever more! Amen!
