Do Not Worry About Your Life! By Nanyamka Boyer
My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, our Savior, greetings. May you be having a blessed day and still be found abiding in the Lord and in His Word. Let us on this day remember, not to worry about our lives, as the Lord tells us to do in His Word in the gospel of Matthew in Matthew 6:27-34 "Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall He not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) (now the unbeliever) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof."
The Lord wants us to trust Him and rest in His peace, and not be squirming like worms, fretting about things that we cannot control, for we must know that He will supply all of our needs, according to His riches in glory, by Christ Jesus, as Paul the Apostle tells us in Philippians 4:19. So after we have asked Him in prayer, we need to rest assured that if it is within His will for our lives, the answer will come, if we don't give up, as we wait for His answer. And as the Lord through the Apostle John says in 1 John 5:15 "And if we know that He hears us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him."
For the Lord Himself commands us to: "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened," in Matthew 7:7-8. And what the Lord is also saying here, is keep on asking, keep on seeking and keep on knocking and do not give up until He answers, for remember that until our day to be with the Lord in Heaven comes, we are going to be needing His help in this world to see us through!
And as He has just reminded of me of this scripture, to give unto you, for He loves you greatly and does not want you to be living in fear, for fear has torment, as it says in His Word and does not want you to be living in worry. He wants you to know and remember what He tells us through the Apostle Paul in Philippians 4:6-7 "Be careful (or do not worry about anything) for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
Remember our God is faithful and keeps all of His promises, for as I just heard Him say: "God is not a man, that He should lie, neither the son of man, that He should repent; hath He said, and shall He not do it? or hath He spoken, and shall He not make it good?" as He says in Numbers 23:19-20. For if we keep His commandments, we abide in Him, and we know that He hears us when we pray, remember He cares about us and about our needs being met, whether they are spiritually, emotionally, mentally, or a physically need. Or He would've not sent us His ONLY begotten Son, Jesus, to die on our behalf, if He didn't care.
So let us daily remember to abide in Him, in His Word, as well as through praise and worship, for who He is and what He does for us daily in our lives, and let us learn to trust in Him and in His great love for us!
