The Lord's Protection! By Nanyamka Boyer
My beloved brothers and sister in our Sweet Savior and Lord Jesus Christ, may your year has begun well, with full of new life, faith and hope in the Lord and may you be having a blessed day! Let us on this day remember that when we remain in right standing with God, through His Beloved Son Jesus Christ, we continue to receive His protection from evil in our lives.
For when the Lord protects us, we are in the center of His will for us, by the keeping of His commandments, as He leads us in the direction, He would have us go, by the Holy Spirit, as we yield our hearts and lives unto Him.
For let us remember His promise unto us that we will receive from Him, when we obey Him and keep His commandments, as He tells us in Deuteronomy 28, I recommend studying the whole chapter, as it will encourage you to continue to obey the Lord, but let us focus on verses 3-8 "Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shall thou be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store. Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shall thou be when thou goest out. The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise against thee to be smitten before thy face; they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways. The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy store houses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and He shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee."
So let us keep the Lord and His commandments, as the apple of our eye, for remember that His commandments are not grievous and they give us life, spiritually and physically. For the Lord is faithful and honors those who honor Him, as He tells us in 1 Samuel 2:30 "...for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed."
So as we keep and obey His commandments, the Lord will then, as He promises us in His Word in Psalm 121: 7-8 "The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: He shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for ever more."
So let us commit our lives and our will to the Lord, so we may have a blessed new 2018 and prosper in all of our ways. For by staying submitted to the Lord and by abiding in Him in intimacy, fellowship, communion, by the studying of His Word daily, our souls will continue to be nourished and our spirits fed, therefore also prosper, by staying healthy.
And we know that as we do, the Lord will continue to supply all of our need according to His riches in glory, by Christ Jesus, our Lord. As He promises us through the Apostle Paul, our beloved brother, and we do not have to worry about our needs not being met, for our God is faithful and will always provide, as He continues to do even to the unbeliever, so how much more to those who are His, through His Son, Christ Jesus?
Have a blessed day and an awesome new year and remember to seek the Lord daily, so He can also show you His purpose or calling for your life, as we were all created on purpose and with a purpose, which is to glorify Him and not to be idle and waste our lives. So seek Him while He may be found and you will see that He has been waiting for you, all along!
