Not Giving Up On God! By Nanyamka Boyer
Good day my beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, may this day find you full of faith in God and strong in your walk with the Lord. Let us on this day remember to be persistent with the Lord in our prayer life and not give up on Him, as we wait for Him to come through for us.
For your faith and perseverance is being tested, by Him and we must continue to be strong and rely on His wisdom and the strength given to us, by the Holy Spirit and continue to walk by faith and not by sight.
For the Lord's ways will never be understood by us, for remember what He says in Isaiah 55: 8-11 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD, For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater. So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."
And what He means here by this, is that His Word will accomplish His will for our lives, and in this world, even when you and I are going through the fire, through trials and tribulations, for the purpose of purification and sanctification and we don't understand the reason why.
Let us also daily remember to put off the old man with its' natural affections, for the carnal mind is enmity with God, as the Lord through the Apostle Paul says in Romans 8:6-10 "For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed it can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness."
So let us daily submit to the Lord, even when the answer to our prayers are not coming through for us right away, and we have no understanding of what is happening in our lives.
For remember that even Daniel, the beloved Saint of God, had to wait for the answer to his prayers to come through, as he fasted for those 21 days. For sometimes, when we are not getting our answers, it is because of the intense warfare or battle going on in the heavenlies, against our ancient enemy Satan and his demons or fallen angels.
So continue to hold on to your faith, as Job did in his time, after Satan attacked him severely, and could not sense or feel in his heart the Lord's presence, but continued to walk by faith and not by sight. And by the truth of the Lord's Word and of His promises, for remember what he said in Job 13:15 "Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him: but I will maintain mine own ways before Him."
And in Job 19: 25-27 "For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that He shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me."
It takes a lot of faith to see the Lord through the Spirit of God and to trust in Him, as Job had towards Him in his lifetime, and I believe that he attained this, through the close and intimate relationship that he had with Him. So let us learn from Job and be as he was in his walk with the Lord, remain in intimacy with Him, and be strong in and for the Lord until the end, until our time on earth is no more and we are called home to Him. For until that day comes we are going to be needing His help daily in this world, as I have mentioned before.
So when the devil comes against you with his lies against the Lord of not coming through for you, remind him of what the Lord says in His Word that he is a liar and the father of it, as it is written.
And remember what the Lord says through our beloved brother Paul in 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled."
So cast out those imaginations that the devil puts in your mind to put you against the Lord and His commandments and stand upon His Word and keep on asking, keep on seeking and keep on knocking at heaven's door.
And keep on fighting the good fight of faith, by using the weapons of the kingdom, which is the Sword of the spirit, the Word of God, the binding and loosing things on earth, so they can be loosed and bound in heaven, through praise and worship music and by pleading and applying the precious blood of Jesus upon you and upon your loved ones, as He commands us to do in His Word without ever giving up on Him and keeping on the full armor of God, as the Lord through the Apostle Paul says in Ephesians 6:11 to do. For if you do not, you will give the devil the satisfaction and will have fallen into his camp and that's not a good thing and a good place to be.
Also remember what the Lord says in Hebrews 11: 6 "But without faith it is IMPOSSIBLE to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is (or able), and that He is a REWARDER of them that DILIGENTLY seek Him."
So keep your chin up and your heart and mind focused on the Lord Jesus, always and then you will see that the things on earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace, as the old Hymn says.
So be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might, as the Lord through the Apostle Paul says to be in Ephesians 6:10.
