Love One Another! By Nanyamka Boyer
Good day to you my beloved brothers and sisters in Christ. It is my prayer that on this day you are full of faith and hope in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, the Sweet Lover of our souls! For there's none and will never be anyone like Him. Blessed be His holy name!
On this day, let us remember the commandment of our Lord, to love one another, by always giving each other the benefit of the doubt and by forgiving one another, when we sin against them and when they sin against us. By also seeing the best in people, instead of seeing the worst in them. For we all are humans made in the image of our awesome, sweet, powerful and beloved God Almighty and we all fall short of His glory daily, as it says in Romans 3:23. For none of us are perfect and will never be until the day of the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ or when He requires our souls, when we die, to those of us who have surrendered our hearts and lives unto Him and are saved.
For when we walk in love, His love, as His love is (which means continually), shed abroad in our hearts, by the Holy Spirit, as it says in Romans 5:5 "And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us." We can give His love to others even to our enemies, by seeing them through Jesus' eyes and heart, which is with pity and with mercy.
Because when those who do not know the Lord, as their personal Savior and Lord, wrong us, don't see that they are in need of His mercy because if they knew the truth of the gospel, and that the wages of sin is death, they wouldn't be doing those things that are not pleasing to the Lord. But we know that the enemy the devil, is the one who has and keeps their minds and hearts blinded to the truth and therefore they and us who are saved, at times yield to him in offending others.
And this is also why the Lord commands us to pray always, so that we do not fall into temptation, for the spirit is willing (that is willing to obey the Lord), but the flesh is weak, as He says in Matthew 26:41 "Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."
And the Lord reminds me that when we treat one another in an evil way, we do it also unto Him, for He also says in Matthew 25:40 "And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." So let us remember to walk in love with one another, to be patient with each other, and also to remember that we need each other, for prayer, comfort, strength and to be able to fight the enemy of our souls. For the Bible says in Deuteronomy 32:30 "How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had shut them up?"
For the Lord also says that there is strength in numbers and in the multitude of counsellors there is safety, in Proverbs 11:14 "Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety." And in Ecclesiastes 4: 9-10 "Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he has not another to help him up." So if you're at enmity with your spouse, sister or brother, daughter, son or fellow brother or sister in Christ, be reconciled to them by forgiving them their sins or trespasses against you, because you need them, as they also need you.
To those who are not saved and have trespassed against you, whether they are your relative or fellow neighbor, forgive them and pray for them that they will come to repentance and to the knowledge of the truth, before it's too late for their souls to do so. This does not mean that you befriend them, unless it is your spouse who is not saved, as the marriage is already sanctified by the Lord.
This is only if the other relative or fellow neighbor is not saved, that you must forgive them, but not trust them and befriend them, for the Lord says that two cannot walk together except they be in agreement with one another in Amos 3:3 "Can two walk together, except they be agreed?" And that we must come out from among them (the unsaved) and be separate in 2 Corinthians 6:17-18 "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty." As these people do not honor the Lord and are not trustworthy.
So forgive those who wrong you, and be reconciled to those who are of the household of God, your loved ones that are saved, for you need each other and remember that the Lord's heart is mercy. And to those who are not saved who have wronged you, forgive them as well, but love them from a distance, but if they ever need your help, be there for them and help them, for this is the Lord's heart and ways and is very pleasing unto Him, and as His Word says, who knows if you might save them, by your example of love and by your love for their souls.
Do not grow bitter and hateful, by walking in hate and unforgiveness, for it is poisonous to our souls, and the Lord's Holy Spirit cannot thrive and work with us in such an environment, so quickly let us let go of our anger and hate and forgive and let us go on with our lives. I know that sometimes this is easier said than done, and this is why we must always ask the Lord for His amazing grace to help us love like Him, live like Him and see people through His heart and eyes and make it through this world without growing bitter and hateful.
For remember that he who hates his brother is a murderer at heart, as the Lord says through the Apostle John in 1 John 3:15 "Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him." And this is why we must keep or guard our hearts with all diligence, because from our hearts comes the issues of life, as the Lord commands us in Proverbs 4:23 "Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life." And in Matthew 15:19 "For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man."
Have a blessed day, go with God and remember that if we don't forgive men their trespasses against us, neither will our Heavenly Father forgive us our trespasses, as He says in Matthew 6:14-15, so we must forgive if we want to be forgiven by God.
For remember that is all about Him and is not about us, if we want to make it to heaven and that we reap what we sow. For if we sow love, forgiveness and mercy into someone else's life, we will also reap the same, especially when we need it the most!
