Not Fearing The Enemies Of The Lord! By Nanyamka Boyer
My beloved friend, brother or sister in the Lord and Sweet Savior. It is my prayer that this post finds you well, faithful and full of faith and of the Lord's love and precious Holy Spirit! On this day let us remember to not be afraid of the faces of those who oppose us, persecute us, and are the enemies of God and who serve our enemy Satan.
For the Lord has promised us to be with us always, even unto the end of the world, even when we are facing opposition from the enemy's camp, as He says in Matthew 28:20 "Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."
He has also promised us to go with us wherever we go, as the above scripture says in the picture. And we know that we can't go wrong or be misled with the Lord, for He surrounds us and lives inside of our hearts and inner man or spirit, by His faithful and mighty Holy Spirit. He also has encamped us round about or around us, by His angels, who protect us, answer our prayers and fight our battles, as He says in Psalm 34:7 "The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear Him, and delivereth them."
The Lord also commands us to do not fear the faces of those who oppose us, when they come against us and we have to confront them with the truth of the gospel, as we are ministering to them the truth or the Word of God in Jeremiah 1:8-9 "Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD. Then the LORD put forth His hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth."
So if we are abiding in the Lord, through His Word, prayer, praise and worship and Holy Spirit and are serving Him in sincerity of heart, then His words which is His Word will abide and live in our hearts and mouths and He will use them, by bringing them to remembrance by the Holy Spirit, to minister, rebuke, exhort and comfort the lost and our brothers and sisters in Christ.
He has also promised us that He has set our faces like flint (or a hard gray rock consisting of nearly pure chert, occurring chiefly as nodules in chalk) in Ezekiel 3:9 "As an adamant harder than flint have I made thy forehead: fear them not, neither be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house." And in Isaiah 50:7, we see how the Prophet Isaiah trusted in the Lord that He would not let him, His beloved servant, be confounded and suffer shame before his enemies. "For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed."
We also read in 2 Kings 6:15-18 how that those who are with us, which are the angels of God, the Lord Himself through the Holy Trinity as well, are more than those (or the fallen angels that are now demons), that are with those who do not fear the Lord, as Ge-hazi, the servant of Elisha was risen early one morning, and saw an host compassed the city both with horses and with chariots. Let us read it to refresh our memory. "And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master: how shall we do? And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed unto the LORD, and said, Smite this people, I pray thee, with blindness. And He smote them with blindness according to the word of Elisha."
So as we can see those that are with us are more than Satan's army, who are with those who do not fear the Lord, but persecute the people of God and do not understand spiritual things and the truth, as our beloved brother and Apostle Jude wrote in Jude 1:10 "But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute (or a savagely violent person or animal) beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves." And instead mock the truth or Word of God, and blaspheme the gospel and His holy name. And just as the Lord heard the cry of Elisha and answered his prayer, by smiting the people that were about to attack them, with blindness in 2 Kings 6:18, so will He also hear our cry, when we call upon His name to deliver us from those who come and are coming against us and are persecuting us.
For remember what He promises us in 2 Chronicles 20:15 that the battle belongs to Him. "And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, (also the saints of God) and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou King Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's." And why does He now says that to us? He says that because this is an ancient battle that has been and it is between Him and His and now our ancient enemy Satan and therefore the Lord knows that we have nothing to do with this hatred and opposition that the devil has against Him. And because we choose to follow the Lord and not him, and are made in His image, he attacks us, persecutes us, through his own. And therefore the Lord intervenes for us, because He loves us greatly and we are His children, through the adoption of His Son Jesus Christ and fights for us and gives us the victory!
So go in peace and do not be in fear of the battle that is before you and remember that your true enemy is the devil and not those who oppose you and whom he uses, as pawns to come against you and I, as the Lord has told me. For as the Lord always tells me, "this battle is not flesh, but spirit."
So keep on fighting the good fight of faith, with the Sword of the spirit in your hand, which is the Word of God, having on your helmet of salvation, your shield of faith, your breastplate of righteousness, having your loins girt about with truth and being shod in your feet with the gospel of peace, as our beloved brother Paul the Apostle tells us in Ephesians 6:11-18.
God bless you and go with God, always remembering that the Lord is on your side, is with you always and is always fighting your battles! Blessed be His holy name, for He gave us and continues to give us hope!! Amen!
