A Box Full Of Gifts! By Nanyamka Boyer
Good day my beloved brother or sister in Christ and fellow reader. I hope that you are having a blessed day and that this blog finds you in good health, both spiritually and physically and full of faith and hope in God. On this day I want to remind you that you are like a box full of gifts that the Lord has made, for His glory. So that you can be a blessing to your fellow man or fellow neighbor. For these gifts that the Lord has bestowed upon you are your talents that the Lord wants you to use for the building of His Kingdom, including throughout this whole earth. Whether it is the gift of music, the gift of writing, the gift of making movies, of giving, of becoming a doctor, a nurse, a teacher, a carpenter or any kind of gift that will serve your fellow man, by bringing them hope, provision, health, a word of encouragement or any kind of blessing that will strengthen and encourage your fellow neighbor and brother and sister in Christ.
For even if our talents have been buried in our sins or in our sinful life and we do not know that they are alive and well in our spirits, waiting to be blossomed, cultivated and evolved, and these will come alive, and become of great service to the Lord once we get saved. For the Lord knows that each and every one of us have potential, because He knows what gifts or talents He has bestowed upon us, and therefore calls us into His Kingdom, so we can blossom and be the beautiful and best person, He has called and created us to be. And He brings these gifts or our gifts to life, after we have been born again, having been purified in Him and have grown in Him spiritually, so that we are fully equipped by the Holy Spirit, to use our own and His spiritual gifts for the benefit of others spiritually and physically on this earth and of His kingdom.
So don't ever see yourself as someone who does not have anything to offer to the Lord and to the world, for the Lord does not make mistakes. For you were created on purpose by Him and with a purpose. For He reminds me of these scriptures of what He says in Matthew 25:14-23 that He gave us talents, so we could use them for the building of the Kingdom, by trading them with other people's talents, so you may always remember to use the gifts He has given to you and to not be an unprofitable servant in the kingdom of God. "For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them His goods. And unto one He gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according, to his several ability; and straightway took His journey. Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents. And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two. But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money. After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them. And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents; behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things; enter thou into the joy of thy lord. He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold I have gained two other talents beside them. His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord."
And in verses 24-30 of the same Chapter 25, we read how he who went and digged in the earth, hid his Lord's money or talent and how the Lord was displeased with him, for not using his talent for the building of the Kingdom and the benefit of others and what reward he received for his wickedness. "Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed: And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, (or by giving it away, where others could use it to build His kingdom) and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury (or with interest or profit). Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth."
So seek the Lord, so you can use your talents before you end up being cast into outer darkness which is in hell, for not obeying Him in the use of your gifts and talents. For the Lord when He ascended to heaven, after His resurrection and led captivity or all bondages into captivity, received gifts from God the Father to give to all of His children around the world, even to the unbeliever. For we read about this in Psalm 68:18 "Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them." And this is why the unbeliever have their own gifts or talents, but do not use them for His glory and for His kingdom. For the Lord uses the professions of those who are in careers that minister to others in service, for the benefit of others physically and does this sovereignly or moves sovereignly throughout the earth, against their free will of not wanting to follow Him. For He alone is God and is in FULL control of all things in the earth, even over our lives, saints and sinners alike. And has created all things for Himself, as it is written in His Word in Proverbs 16:4 " The Lord hath made all things for Himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil."
And when we are born again the Holy Spirit gives us or imparts in us different gifts and callings for the Church or for the body of Jesus, as we read about these gifts, by the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 12:4-11 "Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as He will."
So, as our beloved brother Paul the Apostle tells us to do in Romans 12:6-8 "Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering; or he that teacheth, on teaching; Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness." So let us always remember to do, for the Lord's name sake, so He can be glorified through us.
And let us also remember what the Lord through him also tells us in Ephesians 2:10 "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."
So go to the Lord daily in prayer, through praise and worship and through His Word, so He can and continue to polish your precious gifts and talents that He has given to you, for the benefit of others and of His kingdom, but let us always remember to stay humble in Him. For remember that He resists the proud, but gives His grace unto the humble, as it is written in James 4:6 "But He giveth more grace. Wherefore He saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble." And to also give unto Him alone all of the honor, all of the glory and all of the praise, when He uses your talents, for as He says to us in Isaiah 42:8 "I am the LORD, that is my name and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images."
So know that you are like a box full of gifts to and for the Lord and to the world, whether you are a saint or a sinner, but it is to your benefit that you are like a box full of gifts to and for the Lord, and for His Kingdom and not for Satan's. For these are God's gifts, and as ALL good gifts come in big and in small packages, so do YOU!
So if you are not born again, go to the LORD for your salvation, your deliverance from that sinful life and also so you can find out what those precious gifts are, so the Lord can use them for His glory. And if you already know Him, continue to seek Him daily, so you can also find out what those gifts are and to start using them, as so many are in desperate need of Him and of your talents that are and were created for the benefit of man, and for the building of His Kingdom, as I mentioned before.
Also know that you are always greatly loved by God, are greatly needed to both man and to the Lord and that you are also a great blessing and a mighty contribution to the Lord and to this world from the Lord. So don't ever feel unimportant, for just as the Lord daily calls all of the stars that are in heaven by name, so He also daily calls YOU for His companionship, intimacy, and service, whether you are rich, poor, well educated or not. For the Lord knows how to make beauty for ashes, as it says in His Word and will always do the same for you!! Blessed be His holy name!
