Running The Race With Patience & Finishing Our Course! By Nanyamka Boyer
Good day my beloved brothers and sisters in our Sweet, Faithful and Beloved Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. It is my prayer that on this Father's Day, you are having a blessed day with your children, filled with health, joy, happiness and full of the Holy Spirit in your hearts and lives. For it is He who enables us to remain strong and put in our daily walk with God. For without Him we are nothing and wouldn't be able to approach our Faithful, God and Savior, through prayer, praise and worship and read His Word, for His wisdom and the direction we need in and for our lives. Blessed be His holy, glorious and powerful Almighty name!
On this day let us remember to continue to run the race that has been laid before us with patience and endurance, as our beloved brother Paul the Apostle tells us in Hebrews 12:1 "Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us." For we run this race with patience knowing that our prize awaits us in heaven and that our journey on this earth is temporal and that it is our school master to train us for our heavenly walk and service to the Lord here on earth and in Heaven.
For in Heaven we will serve the Lord and His beloved people and will not be idle, so therefore we must prepare ourselves, as we live here on earth, by yielding to the Lord daily and to His commandments, so we may be the people He has called us and created us to be. So let us be as Paul the Apostle was focused on his walk with God and did not let no-thing and no one move him from his relationship with Jesus and remained steadfast, unmovable and faithful to the Lord until his death. For we see this focus and faithfulness to the Lord that he had in Him, when we read what he said in Philippians 3:14-15 "I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as be perfect (or perfect in and before the Lord, through His sacrifice on the cross or the believer in Him), be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even unto you." And in Acts 20:24 "But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God."
So it is my prayer that you and I will also be filled daily to overflowing with the Holy Spirit and be as our beloved brother Paul the Apostle was and all of the Prophets of old in the Old Testament and the Apostles were and finish also our course and not give up upon God, and give in to the enemy, the devil. For our crowns of life awaits us and hearing the Lord say to us: "well done thou good and faithful servant," in Matthew 25:21 "His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord." For this is our dream and our hope that on that day, we will know if we truly pleased the Lord or not. For remember that is all about Him and only Him!
So let us be faithful to the Lord in the little things He gives us to do daily, so that we can also be faithful in much, for He says in Luke 16:10 "He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much." And this He means faithful in all things, from our finances, taking care of our children, loved ones, when they are sick, our belongings, doing our chores and all manner of responsibilities that He gives us to do daily.
Happy Father's Day to those of you my brothers in Christ that are fathers and remember that as parents, we must daily look up to the Lord for the direction, wisdom, compassion and understanding that we need toward our children, so we can set an example before them and lead them in a godly way, which is the Lord's way. For it is not easy to raise children, especially alone or without the Lord. So let us use wisdom and depend on the Lord for all things, including His guidance, especially for and with our children. But we know as Christians that with the Lord, we can do all things through Him, who strengthens us and guides us to do it, as Paul wrote in Philippians 4:13.
Go with God and have a wonderful, joyful and peaceful day, knowing that the Best Father of all fathers is with you and will never leave you nor forsake you, especially when you need Him and His help, comfort, strength, guidance and compassion the most! Blessed be His holy name!
