The Light Of The World! By Nanyamka Boyer
Good day my beloved brothers and sisters in our Beloved Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. Though far away from one another in distance we are, together are we, by the same Spirit that was and is in our Lord Jesus Christ, as we are also members of His body. It is my prayer that you and your loved ones are doing well, both spiritually and physically, and that you are still full of hope and faith in our Lord and have not given up upon our God. For in Him we will always find what we are in need of in this world, whether it is spiritually, emotionally, mentally or physically and what we are looking for to satisfy our thirsty souls!
On this day let us remember what our Lord tells us in His Word, in Matthew 5:14-16 and has made us to be in Him, which is: "Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." And this we also do when we go to restaurants to eat out or are at our own homes or at a loved ones house and clean after ourselves our messes and do not bring the Lord's name to shame. For remember that we represent Him in this world wherever we go, and that He sees everything, as He lives in us and is all around us, through the Holy Spirit. And that He also walks among us, as we follow Him, as He says in Leviticus 26:12 "And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people."
For if you remember what the LORD commanded the Nation of Israel through Moses, when they dwelt in the wilderness and lived in the camp before the Tabernacle of the Congregation, during their 40 years of wanderings, that when they had to go away from the camp to ease themselves, they had to dig a hole with the paddle that they had to have upon their weapons to cover it, after they had used the bathroom, so the Lord would not see it, as He is holy.
This He also continues to require from all of us, saints and sinners alike as of this day. And this includes cleaning up after ourselves, as we use the kitchen for example, after cooking, cleaning our homes, and keeping it clean inside and outside. Also by producing fruits of righteousness before Him, or by walking by the fruits of the Holy Spirit that the Apostle Paul tells us in Galatians 5:22-23 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law." So we live holy before Him, as we represent Him in this world and do not bring His name to shame, before others (or before the unbelievers). This we read in Deuteronomy 23:14 "And thou shalt have a paddle upon thy weapon; and it shall be, when thou wilt ease thyself abroad, thou shall dig therewith, and shalt turn back and cover that which cometh from thee: For the LORD thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee; therefore shall thy camp (also our homes and places of abode, for the Lord is everywhere and sees all things) be holy: that He see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee."
Let us always remember that the Lord is holy, pure and without sin and no-thing unclean can be before His presence, therefore if we want Him to abide in our hearts, be with us and for us, dwell among us, live His holy life in us, for us and through us, and not take His Faithful and Mighty Holy Spirit from us, which is His presence here on the earth. We must be and remain holy before Him daily, by keeping His commandments, by and through the Holy Spirit, and living in righteousness before Him, for the sake of His blessed holy and mighty name and of our souls!
So as the Lord Jesus says in Matthew 5:16 "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." So that others can then learn from us and truly see that we are the blessed children of God. And to also desire to follow Him, for in Him alone we have the hope to be a better people and not perish in Hell and in the lake of fire, forever.
So it is my prayer that you and I will exalt His holy name, by our actions and by truly being examples of Jesus, of how it truly is to walk right with God, in holiness, in righteousness, in humility, doing justly and by loving mercy, so that we can make it and give others the chance to also make it. Remember that people learn mostly through seeing, as the old proverb says: "Monkey see, monkey do!" For we all follow the examples of others, so as Christians let us truly follow Jesus' example and set His example of submission to the Father, of holiness and of righteousness, by yielding to His Word and to His Holy Spirit daily!
Have a blessed day, go with God and remember that we can do all things through Jesus, who strengthens us to do it, including living right before Him and before the world, for the sake of His holy name, as Paul the Apostle says in Philippians 4:13. So that there is no condemnation against us, as we walk daily before Him, after the Spirit and not after the flesh, as Paul wrote in Romans 8:1 "There is therefore no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." Blessed be His holy name, for giving us His Holy Spirit, so we can always be in right standing with Him, and stay strong and put in our walk with God, the Holy Trinity!
