Respecting The Lord! By Nanyamka Boyer
Good day my beloved brother or sister in our only hope in this world and Blessed Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. It is my prayer that on this day you are found faithful to the Lord, and also in your walk, faith and calling of and from the Lord. And have not fallen away, as many have already. Even if you're still the only one loving Him, following Him and obeying Him in this world. For the sake of His Blessed and Almighty name and sake of your own soul. For remember it is he or she who finishes the race who gets the price and not the one who falls away along the way and gives up.
On this day let us remember to not disrespect the Lord our God, for He is holy, by taking His Precious and Mighty name in vain, both God the Father's and God the Son's. When we say: "Oh my God!" or "Jesus Christ!" For the Lord's name is holy, even as He is holy, and deserves our respect and admiration, for who He is. And He will hold everyone accountable for every idle word spoken, as I just heard Him say, to remind you to not take His name in vain, as He says in His Word in the gospel of Mathew 12:36 "But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment." This includes taking His name in vain, for when we call on His name, and say: "Oh my God!" it should only be when we are crying out to Him for help and for comfort, and not just to say it, as the heathen who do not know Him intimately nor fear Him do!
He also commands us in the Ten Commandments to not take His name in vain, for He will not hold anyone guiltless who takes His name in vain in Exodus 20:7 "Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh His name in vain."
So as He says in Romans 13:7 through the Apostle Paul, so let us also do towards Him, who is our Creator, Savior, Lord and God Almighty! "Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour." For remember as it is also written in Hebrews 10:31 "It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God."
The Lord also reminds me to let you know to give you hope and at the same time a Word of caution, so you can go to Him and ask Him for forgiveness and at the same time to be tactful in what we say about the Holy Spirit and about those whom He has anointed to serve Him in ministry and speak on His behalf in what He says in Matthew 12:31-32 "Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man (who is Jesus), it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come." So let us be wise and take heed to His Word and to all of His commandments. For remember it is wisdom, His wisdom that gives life to those who have it, including eternal life, as it is written in Ecclesiastes 7:12 "For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it."
Also when we are in an intimate close relationship with the Lord daily, we call Him or talk about Him and refer Him, as Lord and not just constantly talk about Him, as God this and God that, but as the Lord. For He is the Lord of man and not just our God, who refers Him as Creator only. For when we are born again as Christians, we accept Him in our hearts, as our own personal Savior and Lord and not just as our God. For remember what is written by the Apostle Paul in Philippians 2:10-11 "That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
We also see in the book of Genesis in Chapter 1 how the LORD created all things and it says in the whole Chapter: "And God said... And God created..." But when He made man in His image and Moses speaks about the Lord's relationship with him (Adam), if you notice in Chapter 2 verses 7-9, he says: "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there He put the man whom He had formed. And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil." So as we see here, He is our Lord, our provider, our breath of life, our all in all. For when He made Adam, He became man's Lord or source of life! And as such deserves our fear or respect and we should ALWAYS honor Him for who He is, who is God Almighty and the Lord of mankind!
Go in peace and with the Lord and remember that this is also the reason why the Lord tells us in His Word in the gospel of John in John 15:5 "I AM (please note that this was typed in Caps on accident) the vine, and ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing."
And I as also hear the Lord remind me of what He says in Deuteronomy 8:18 "But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is He that giveth thee power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day."
So He wants you to always remember that He is the One who sustains us, both spiritually and physically and is the One who gives us the power to obtain wealth or our financial blessings, so we can make it in this world, physically! Blessed be His holy name!
So let us take heed and be in the fear of the Lord all the day long, as He commands us to do in Proverbs 23:17 "Let not thine heart envy sinners; but be thou in the fear of the LORD all the day long." And in Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 "Let us hear the conclusion of the matter: Fear God, and keep His commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil."
Have a blessed day and lovely week, keeping your eyes upon Jesus, the Sweet Lover of your soul!
