Being Doers Of The Word Of God! By Nanyamka Boyer
Good day my beloved brother or sister in our Faithful and Blessed Savior, Jesus Christ, our Lily of and in our valleys. It is my prayer that this blog finds you full of faith in God, encouraged in the Lord and abiding in His strength. For remember that even at times when we walk through our valley of shadow of death, He is with us, comforting, strengthening us, encouraging us to go and to not give up on Him and is our hope, the Lily of our valleys. As it is written by the Lord, through King Solomon in Song Of Solomon 2:1-2 "I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys. As the lily among thorns, so is my love among the daughters." So as we go through the dark night of the soul, or through dark times in our lives, our Lord is there as a lily, among our thorns or among circumstances that bring us pain and displeasure, giving us hope and comfort, as the lily flower does, when we see one in the valley and smell it. So there's hope! For as our Lord is there with us in our trials, He also is there to safely lead us unto the other side, out of our storms and unto victory!
And as our Beloved King David wrote in one of our favorite Psalms in Psalm 23:4, so let us daily remember, when the devil tries to discourage us: "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me." So always know that you are not alone in your trial and tribulation and that the Lord is there with you, suffering along with you, and understanding your deepest sorrow, concern and pain. For remember that He has promised us in Matthew 28:20 "Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world." So be strong and in your faith in God, knowing that He will see you through it and give you His victory!
On this day let us remember to be doers of His Word and not hearers only, for it is good for nothing if we do not apply it daily in our lives, for our benefit and for our salvation. For remember what the Lord through His brother James wrote in James 1:22-24 "But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass (or in a mirror): For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was."
For if we choose to do works that the Lord has not called us to do, without the keeping of His commandments for the purpose to appease Him and not do His Word according to His will in and for our lives, it is nothing. For remember what the Lord says in His Word through the Prophet Samuel, after King Saul refused to obey the Lord's Word, and did not do what he was told to do through the Prophet Samuel in 1 Samuel 15:22-23 "And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, He has also rejected thee from being king." And in Psalm 40:6 "Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required."
So let us daily apply His Word in our lives, so He can come through for us always, especially when we need Him the most. For if we regard iniquity in our hearts or keep sin in our hearts, without confessing them unto Him in prayer and turning from them, the Lord will not hear us when we call upon Him and pray for His salvation or for His deliverance for our soul and from our bad circumstances, for as it is written in Psalm 66:18-20 "If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me: But verily God hath heard me; He hath attended to the voice of my prayer. Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor His mercy from me."
So let us not let our prayers be hindered, as we will always need the Lord in this world to come through for us, for apart from Him there is no help, no deliverance, no provision, no salvation, no no-thing good for us, spiritually and physically. For remember what is written in Romans 11:36 "For of Him, and through Him, and to Him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen." For He alone is the stamp or the signet ring of all things that happen in this world, through His Holy Spirit. For our God is always in full control of all things that happen in this world. And no-thing, as the Lord says, ever happens by chance. For is also written in Romans 14:7-8 "For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's." Amen and Blessed be His holy name, for we do not live by chance and by our own strength, but by the Lord and His great mercies.
Be at peace and go with God, have a wonderful joyous day and week and remember to daily walk with wisdom and to be in the fear of the Lord all the day long, as He commands us to do in Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep His commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil." Also by truly being a doer of His Word and not a hearer only, for the sake of His name and of our own souls!
