The Lord Our Resurrection!

The Lord Our Resurrection! By Nanyamka Boyer

Good day my fellow reader, and beloved brother or sister in our Blessed Savior, Jesus Christ. It is my prayer that all is well with you and your loved ones on this day, both spiritually and physically. For remember that even when things are not going well for us, we have hope. For the Lord promises us in Psalm 34:19 that He delivers us and will continue to deliver us, out of all of our afflictions that we go and will ever go through in our lives, as it is written: "Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all." So as His beloved children in His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, we know that joy comes in the morning, or after this season of darkness in our lives is over, as it is written in Psalm 30:5 "For His anger endureth but a moment; in His favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning." So let us daily be as King David was full of faith and hope in the Lord and let us daily seek the Lord's face, as David did and wrote in Psalm 5:3 "My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up." For we need Him and at that daily!

On this day let us remember that the Lord is the "Resurrection and the Life," not only of our dead spirits, when we are dead in sin and trespasses before we are saved, and of our bodies, after we die, but also of our dead circumstances that we will ever go through in our lives. For as He revived the bodies of those in the Bible that died in the times of Elijah, Elisha, in His time, when He first came to earth, when He brought back to life the son of the widow woman, as we read in the Gospel of Luke in Luke 7:12-15 "Now when He came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her. And when the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not. And He came and touched the bier (or coffin); and they that bare him stood still. And He said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise. And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And He delivered him unto his mother."

And also how He revived or brought to life Jairus' daughter in the Gospels of Mark 5:22-43, and in Luke 8:40-56 and also Lazarus, who was His friend and had been dead for four days, as we read in the Gospel of John in John Chapter 11 and also all of those, whom He also brought back to life through His Apostles in the Book of Acts, after He arose from the dead and ascended into Heaven. So will He also revive our dead bodies, as He promises us in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 "But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep (or dead), that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."

For He also revives us when we are dead in sin and trespasses and are born again, by His Holy Spirit and so will He also revive our dead circumstances that we know in our hearts, through the Promise of His Word and Holy Spirit, that it is His perfect will for us to have or obtain in our lives, as He also did so with Joseph, the son of Jacob, one of the Patriarchs of Israel. For He gave him visions of his future in dreams, but yet had to wait thirteen years to see its' fulfillment. For He had to humble and prepare Joseph for his calling, by allowing him to go through the fiery trials that he went through before He exalted him. For He brought Joseph from the dungeon or prison house into Pharaoh's palace, to be his (Pharaoh's) servant in one day, when he (Pharaoh) exalted him and made him the governor in all the land of Egypt, as we read about this in Genesis Chapter 41. We also see how the Lord did the same, when He prepared David before he became the King of Israel in 1 Samuel, from Chapters 18-27, as he suffered great trials and persecutions from King Saul, who daily stalked him and sought to take his life. For when we are going through our own hell and back, it is because the Lord is preparing us to be like Him, holy, pure and without sin, so we can face Him, when we die, for remember that it is written in Hebrews 12:14 "Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.." And also for ministry.

So have hope and remain strong in your faith, walk and hope in God, for the Lord is always working in your life behind the natural realm and in your behalf, and also knows what He is doing, even when He is silent, just as Job trusted in His wisdom and said in his own book in Job 23:8-10 "Behold, I go forward, but He is not there; and backward but I cannot perceive Him: On the left hand, where He doth work, but I cannot behold Him: He hideth Himself on the right hand, that I cannot see Him: But He knoweth the way that I take: when He hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold."

And also remember that His grace is sufficient to sustain you in life and to see you through your trials and tribulations, as He told Paul the Apostle in 2 Corinthians 12:8-10 "For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness, Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong." Blessed be His holy name, for we truly are always strong in and with Jesus!

Remember also that the Lord is working patience in you, as it is written in James 1:4 "But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting (or lacking) nothing." So always keep your chin up looking up towards the Lord and don't be discouraged, but always stay encouraged in the Lord, by hoping in Him and seeking daily His Holy Word! Have a blessed day and lovely weekend!
