Looking For Jesus!

Looking For Jesus! By Nanyamka Boyer

Good day my beloved brother or sister in our Faithful and Blessed Savior and Lord Jesus Christ, our Mighty God! It is my prayer that this blog finds you well and in good health, both spiritually and physically, also in good strength and walking in the Lord's faith and by faith before the Lord. For remember that as His beloved people, we walk by faith and not by sight, as our beloved brother and Apostle Paul tells us in 2 Corinthians 5:7 "(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)" And in Hebrews 10:38-39, we read what the Lord commands us about the just and about those who draw back or fall away, those who have been justified through faith in Him, by the believing of His sacrifice on the Cross for us: "Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him." We also read how the just will live both spiritually and physically here on earth and in heaven, because of his faith in God in Habakkuk 2:4 "Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by (and also because of his faith in God) his faith." So let us daily walk by our faith in God, even when all we see is darkness or evil all around us, for in the Lord we have spiritual and physical light to see where we are going, as He is the Light of the world and as we have hope that we will make it through our trials and tribulations and to heaven. And as we are not as the world is without hope, as they live and are without Him, and have no hope. For we, as His beloved people, children and saints, have the only hope in this world, who is Jesus, His Only Begotten Son!

On this day let us remember to daily seek the Lord our Beloved Savior, Lord and God, as He commands us to do in Jeremiah 29:13 "And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart." For our God is not faraway from us, as it seems to be, for as He says and it's written in Jeremiah 23:23 "Am I a God at hand, saith the LORD, and not a God afar off?" For He is a God that is close at hand, a very present help in times of need or trouble, as it is written in Psalm 46:1-3 "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof." And in Job 27:3-4 we read about His Holy Spirit being in our nostrils: "All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils; My lips shall not speak wickedness, nor my tongue utter deceit"

And we know that when we are born again, the Lord Jesus Christ through His Holy Spirit, lives in our hearts and spirit man, as it is also written in His Word in Romans 5:5 "And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us." And in Revelation 3:20 "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." And we know that the Lord means the door of our hearts and of our lives. So as we can see through the scriptures above that the Lord is not far from us at all, so we can find Him if we look for Him. For our God is everywhere and is available to spend time with us, so we can get to know Him, as He knows us and loves it when we seek Him daily and spend time with Him. And we can do this daily, by seeking Him in His Word (the Holy Bible), in prayer, through praise and worship music, through books that are about Him and through the prophecies of His true servants the Prophets, that will draw us closer to Him.

So don't waste your time seeking that which does not satisfy your thirsty and hungry soul for God and be like Mary, the sister of Lazarus and Martha, who sat at Jesus' feet and learned from Him great and mighty things that she did not know of. And like King David who was like the deer that panteth after the water, seeking after God. For this we know when he wrote it in Psalm 42:1-3 "As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God? My tears have been my meat day and night, while they (demons and the wicked, those who do not fear the Lord) continually say unto me, Where is thy God?"  And like the woman at the well in the Gospel of John Chapter 4, who received a revelation from Him, of who He was and left her water pot at the well and ran with joy to tell the others in her village about Him. For the Lord also Himself tells us in Isaiah 55:2  about us pursuing things that do not satisfy us spiritually: "Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? (the Lord means spiritual bread, for remember that He alone is the bread of life in this world). and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness."

For our God grieves deeply, when we do not seek Him and instead seek after idols in this world that do not quench or satisfy our thirsty souls. For remember that He alone is the Fountain of Living waters and is also jealous, when we depend upon people in the world and in the Church to lead us instead of upon Him. As He says about His saints, the Church in Jeremiah 2:13 "For my people have committed two evils, they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns (or the things of the world, and people in the world and in the Church that are in the world that are broken spiritually), that can hold no water (or the water of life, the Lord means)."

So let us seek the Lord, while He may be found, as He says in His Word in Isaiah 55:6-7 "Seek ye the LORD while He may be found, call ye upon Him while He is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man, his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and He will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon." And while we have the chance to do so, for life is very short, just as our beloved brother Peter the Apostle, tells us in 1 Peter 1:24-25 "For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away. But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you." And tomorrow and even our next breath is not promised, so let us daily seek Him, while we can before it is too late. For our God is worthy and we were made for only Him and not for ourselves or for others, for He is the source of life from whom all blessings flow, including of having the relationships that we have with others. For those are His blessings. So go with God, have a blessed week, take the Lord with you wherever you go and remember to daily keep your priorities in order, which is God first in your life, then your family and fellow man. For remember the first commandment that He commands us in Exodus 20:3-6 "Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments." And from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God in the Gospel of Matthew 22:37-40 we also hear His commandment: "Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."

Remember that the Lord knows our hearts and knows who truly loves Him or not, for we cannot fool the Lord, but ourselves only. So daily check your heart to see if it truly is in love with Jesus, and if it's not, consider your ways and change them before it's too late, as the Lord says in Haggai 1:5-7 "Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways. Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink, ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes. Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways."

Remember the Lord knows all things and what is best for us, so please take heed to His Word and use wisdom by obeying Him daily. For His great suffering and death on the Cross for you and I, was not in vain, for it cost Him greatly, His very life! For as God the Father says and it is written in Leviticus 17:11 "For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement (or reconciliation) for the soul." Blessed be His holy name! Loose everything if you have to, but never His salvation!
