Abiding On The Narrow Path Of Jesus!

Updated: Feb 11, 2021

Good day to you my beloved brother or sister in our Awesome and All-Powerful, Loving God and Savior: Jesus Christ, our Lord! May this devotion find you well and strong in your faith and walk with God, for remember that we as His beloved Saints have a secured hope to always find whatsoever we need in Him, especially salvation, including our healing, both spiritually and physically. For as it is written in His Word in the Book of the Prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 53:5 "But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him: and with His stripes we are healed."

For it was for this very reason that our Blessed Savior and Lord received this scourging that the Romans inflicted upon Him 2,000 years ago before His crucifixion on the Cross at Calvary Hill or on the hill of Golgotha, so that we could be healed by His stripes, both spiritually and physically in our hearts, souls and bodies. So have hope and speak His Word over your body and life and believe the promises of God, for His suffering and death on the Cross for you and I was not in vain, but for us to receive His eternal life and healing,, emotionally and physically, through daily repentance of our sins unto Him and what we are in need of, whether it is both spiritually and physically! For this is why it is written by our beloved brother and Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 1:20 that all of the promises of God in Him are yes and Amen and blessed be His holy name. "For all the promises of God in Him are yea, and in Him Amen, unto the glory of God by us."

For this is why we are also commanded by the Lord to speak life and not death in our lives in Proverbs 18:21 "Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." For the Lord holds us accountable for our words and our actions, as He says in the Gospel of Matthew in Matthew 12:35-37 "A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned." And in Revelation 22:12-13 "And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last." For the Lord will finish what He began in and with this world.

On this day let us also remember to stay on the narrow path of life, by daily carrying our crosses and abiding in the Lord, by following Jesus. For as the Lord says and as we see that the days are truly evil in this world and if we are to make it to heaven and through life, we must not deviate from His road of life. For this is why He commands us in the Book of Deuteronomy in Deuteronomy 30:15-20 "See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it. But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods and serve them; I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it. I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey His voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto Him: for He is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them." And remember that Abraham is now our Father of faith, through our Lord Jesus Christ, to the Jews and to the Gentiles alike who believe in Him.

For this is also why the Lord grieves and tells us in Jeremiah 2:13 about those who have left Him and the narrow path of life. "For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns (those that are of the false church and of the world who are broken, and attempt to fix the people and creation of God) that can hold no water."

And in Jeremiah 18:15-16 "Because my people hath forgotten me, they have burned incense to vanity, and they (those who are false leaders in the Church) have caused them to stumble in their ways from the ancient paths, to walk in paths, in a way not cast up; To make their land desolate, and a perpetual hissing; every one that passeth thereby shall be astonished, and wag his head." For the pathway and ways of God does not change, as He does not change, as we read in Malachi 3:6 "For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed." And in Hebrews 13:8 "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever."

So don't follow anyone, neither the crowd, but only the Lord and His voice, and stay close to Jesus and behind Jesus daily, as you follow Him and do what He commands us to do in the Gospel of Matthew in Matthew 7:13-14 "Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." For remember that the wages of sin is death, as we read by the Lord through the Apostle Paul in Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." And in Proverbs 14:12 "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death."

If there is a true man or woman of God that really loves the Lord and follows Him and you end up meeting them spiritually, through a book or physically in person, whose life and work is truly of God and agrees with the Lord's Word, respect them and follow only that person's work or teaching, but never the person themselves, but only their example. For this is why the Lord commands us to know them who labor among us, so we don't fall away, as we read in 1 Thessalonians 5:12 "And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves." And that by their fruits we will know them or recognize if they are truly of God or not, as the Lord says in the Gospel of Matthew in Matthew 7:15-20 "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them."

For remember that we are all still in this flesh or body of sin and death and we all still fall short of the glory of God, as it is written in Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" And in Romans 3:10-12 "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one." And you don't want to go down with that person when they go down, for remember that our flesh is weak, as the Lord says in Matthew 26:41 "Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak." So keep your eyes on Jesus and follow Him only, so you can remain steadfast in the faith of God, as He alone is perfect and faithful. For when you focus on Jesus, you remain in Him, through His Word and the Holy Spirit, and we are able to discern what is of God and what is not of Him. For this is why the Father commands us in Isaiah 2:22 "Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?"

God bless you, go with God, have a blessed, peaceful and joyous week, remembering that after you have done all to stand to continue to stand in your faith and walk in and with God, as we are commanded by the Lord through the Apostle Paul in Ephesians 6:13-17 "Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:"

Also remember to daily draw near to God, so He can continue to draw near to you, as you need Him and will always need Him in this world. So don't ever be prideful, but remain humble, for remember that our God resists the proud, but gives His grace unto the humble, as we read in James 4:6. And as the Lord says in Isaiah 40:31, so I write: "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." So continue to wait upon Him for the answers to your prayers and for His Second Coming and never give up upon God, as He will never leave you nor forsake you.
