Be Given Over To Hospitality By Nanyamka Boyer
Good day to you my beloved brother or sister in our Mighty, Faithful Savior and Lord Jesus Christ, our Hope and the Salvation of our souls and in Life! It is my prayer that you and your loved ones are doing well, both spiritually and physically, especially in your faith and walk in and with God! For remember that we have hope as the anchor of our souls, as we daily walk our Christian walk with the Lord and stay focused on heaven and on God, as we read in the Book of Hebrews by the Apostle Paul in Hebrews 6:17-20 "Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability (or unchanging over time or unable to be changed) of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath: That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec."
For we are prisoners of hope, as God the Father says and promises us that He will restore us double from our losses, as we read in the Book of Zechariah the Prophet in Zechariah 9:11-12 "As for thee (Jesus) also, by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water. Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope: even to day do I declare that I will render double unto thee;..." And as I hear the Lord say, so you have a word of comfort and hope from God Almighty, of what He promises us in the Book of the Prophet Isaiah and also about His Second Coming, when He comes to reign upon the earth for the 1,000 years and thereafter, as we read in Isaiah 35:3-10 "Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees. Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; He will come and save you. Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert. And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes. And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein. No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there: And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away."
So continue to be strong, to hold on, to wait on the Lord and have faith in God, for remember that our God cannot lie and is faithful and just as He fulfilled every other and next promise in the Old Testament, so will He fulfill the rest of His Word, as He and His Word are One.
On this day let us also remember that as Christians, we are to be given over to hospitality in helping the poor, orphans, widows and fellow man, when they need help including our enemies, as it is written in the Word of God. For the sake of exalting the Lord and His holy name before others in this world. And this we do, by being doers of His Word and not hearers only, as we are commanded to do by Him through His beloved brother James in James 1:21-25 "Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness (or excess, oversupply or immoderate and especially luxurious living, habits, or desires), and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed."
For we must remember that we represent the Lord in this world and whatsoever we do unto others, we do unto Him also, as He says that He will tell us, as we read in the Gospel of Matthew, when we stand before Him on Judgment Day. When He separates the goats from the sheep, as we read in Matthew Chapter 25, but we will read verses 34-46 "Then shall the King say unto them on His right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer Him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily, I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Then shall He say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer Him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall He answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal."
So remember that we reap what we sow and when we stand before the Son of God and the Son of Man, who is Jesus, our God Almighty, we want to hear Him say unto us: "Well done thou good and faithful servant, thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord, as He says in the Gospel of Matthew in Mathew 25:21 and Matthew 25:23. For we are His light in this world and must let His light in us shine before the world without shame of what people may think about us, for the Lord is our only Judge, has our backs and will always protect us. For we are to set the example of leadership, so that they may see that there's a better way, the Lord's way in life, to live and make it in and through this world and to heaven, as we read by the Lord in the Gospel of Matthew in Matthew 5:14-16 "Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."
So give the Lord's light, wisdom or direction to all of those that are round about you, by doing the Lord's will or holy commandments, and by being filled to overflowing with His Precious and Mighty Holy Spirit. For through Him and by Him, we can do all things through Him who strengthens us to do it in His Powerful and Almighty Name! Blessed be His holy name!
Go with God, have a blessed, joyous and peaceful week, remembering that you don't know when you might be entertaining angels or an angel unawares, when you help someone and are kind to them in your house or in public, by offering them a cup of cold water in the Lord's name, both spiritually and physically. For remember that the Word of God is also the Water of Life to and for the soul and spirit of man. And by giving them what they need in life, both spiritually and physically, you help them to make it through life in this world and to heaven, if they choose to get saved, as it says in Hebrews 13:2 "Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares." And that: "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world." As we read in James 1:27.
