God's Word: Our Protection!

Good day to you my beloved brother or sister in our Beloved Savior and Faithful Lord, Jesus Christ, our Wisdom and Deliverer in life! It is my prayer that this beautiful day finds you healthy, full of faith, hope, strong and faithful to the Lord. For remember that he who endures till the end will be saved, and not the one who quits or gives up upon the Lord along the way without returning back to Him, as the Lord tells us about the great trials and tribulations that the whole world and we His Saints will experience before His Second Coming, as we read in the Book of the Apostle Matthew in Matthew 24:13 "But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved."

For we know that as Christians, life will sometimes be extremely hard, as we are told by our beloved and wise King David in Psalm 34:19 "Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all." Also by our beloved brother the Apostle Peter, as he tells us and teaches us about suffering for the Lord's name sake for our spiritual benefit in 1 Peter 4:12-19 "Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: but rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when His glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part He is evil spoken of, but on your part He is glorified. But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters. Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to Him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator."

And as we find ourselves in the storms of life, we greatly need to seek the Lord's face for hope, deliverance, strength, guidance and encouragement to go on without doubting His great love for us, without giving up on Him and upon our spiritual and physical life through Him in prayer or we will not make it, as the devil is merciless and seeks continually our destruction. For this is why the Lord has told us about him (the devil) in the Gospel of John in John 10:10 that: "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." So as you continue to live in this world and go through trials and tribulations, please continue to be strong, keep your eyes and focus on the Lord Jesus Christ and to stand after having done all, as we are commanded by the Lord through His beloved Apostle Paul in Ephesians 6:13-18 "Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;..."

On this day let us also remember that the Word of God is our protection and salvation from sin and evil, as it keeps us from trouble, when we take heed to the Lord's voice or Holy Word. For as we spend time with the Lord and in His Word, we not only receive from Him His Holy Presence, which is the Bread and Water of Life, but also the wisdom, guidance and direction or specific Word that we need to lead us in the way that He will have us to go concerning that situation or circumstance in our lives, for our benefit from evil, as King David understood and wrote in Psalm 119:105 "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." For the Word of God also reveals to us our hearts and its' condition, so that we can ask the Lord to clean it from all its' unrighteousness. For this is why He says in the Book of the Prophet Jeremiah in Jeremiah 17:9-10 "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings." For when we judge ourselves, we are not judged by the Lord, as He promises us in 1 Corinthians 11:31-32 "For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world."

For this is why King David after he had sinned with Bathsheeba, the wife of Uriah the Hittite, as we read in the Book of 2 Samuel and had him killed, after having found out that he got her pregnant, after having committed the sin of adultery with her and had Uriah, her husband killed because of his (Uriah's) refusal to go home and sleep with his wife, asked the Lord in the Psalms to create in him a clean heart and renew a right spirit within him, after having acknowledged his sin before Him, as we read in Psalm 51:10-14 "Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. Then will I teach transgressors thy ways, and sinners shall be converted unto thee. Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness."

For as we read the Word of God, the Lord speaks to us and reveals to us where we are at in our spiritual walk or spiritual state before Him and as we acknowledge our sins before the Lord, repent and turn from them, He hears us and forgives us, as we are promised by Him through the Apostle John in 1 John 1:9-10 "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us." For a contrite and a broken heart the Lord will not despise, as we read in Psalm 51:17 "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise."

So as the Lord shows us in His Word what we need to do to make sure that we daily walk right before Him and that we are in right standing with Him, so let us do, as we read in Psalm 119:9 "Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word." So let us be wise and take heed to His Mighty and Holy Word, for the Word of God is truly our protection, a mighty weapon against the enemy of our souls and our salvation, both spiritually and physically.

Go with God, have a blessed, joyful and peaceful week, full of hope and faith with and in the Lord, remembering that the Lord will never give us more than what we are able to bear, as He carries our sorrows and trials upon His shoulders, as we are yoked to Him, walk with Him and daily cast our cares upon Him, as He cares about us. For He promises us to never allow us to be moved from our faith and walk with Him, as we cast our burdens upon Him in Psalm 55:22 "Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and He shall sustain thee: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved." And also in 1 Peter 5:7 "Casting all your care upon Him, for He careth for you." And that the Lord always makes all things beautiful or completes them in His time, as He promised us in the Book of Ecclesiastes in Ecclesiastes 3:11 "He hath made every thing beautiful in His time: also He hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end."

And remember that the Lord is close to those who are brokenhearted, as He says through King David in Psalm 34:18 "The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit." And in Isaiah 57:15 "For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones." For we will never find no greater love and faithfulness in our lives than the love of our Beloved Savior and Lord Jesus Christ, our Great I AM! Blessed be His holy name, now and forever more!
