Letting Jesus Be Rubbed Off On Us: For Our Healing!

Updated: Mar 16, 2024

Good day to you my beloved brother or sister in our Blessed Savior and Lord Jesus Christ, our Healer and Beloved Prince of Peace in Life! For in the Lord we find and have the peace that surpasses all understanding to reassure us that He is with us and in full control of this world and of our lives. It is my prayer that this devotion finds you well both spiritually and physically both you and your loved ones, and not found unhealthy, discouraged and doubtful in your faith in God. For our God is our Rock and Fortress in life, as it is written by our beloved brother and mighty King David in Psalm 18:2-6 "The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler; and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies. The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid. The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me. In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: He heard my voice out of His temple, and my cry came before Him, even into His ears."

For in the scriptures we find comfort, faith and hope in the Lord, knowing that the Lord greatly loves, protects us, fights for us, is for us and not against us, as He has promised us in Romans 8:31-33 "What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth." For we have a Loving and a Protective God, who cares for the well being of the souls of His beloved people and children, whether it is spiritually or physically! For those who seek the Lord will never return to the issues of life empty and empty handed or be found wanting or lacking anything they need in life, but will always be complete and find the strength in Him and through Him that they need to keep them standing, faithful to Him and see them through their days and life!

For this is why the Lord commands us and encourages us, and as I hear Him remind me, so I can write unto you and let you know of what He says in the Gospel of Matthew in Matthew 6:31-34 "Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles (now the unbelievers) seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof."

So grab a hold of your God with all your strength, cleave unto Him like the Koala baby bears do with their moms and never let Him go, as He commands us in the Book of Joshua in Joshua 23:3 and verses 6-8 "And ye have seen all that the LORD your God hath done unto all these nations because of you: for the LORD your God is He that hath fought for you." And in verses 6-8 "Be ye therefore very courageous to keep and to do all that is written in the book of the law of Moses, that ye turn not aside therefrom to the right hand or to the left; That ye come not among these nations, these that remain among you; neither make mention of the name of their gods, nor cause to swear by them, neither serve them, nor bow yourselves unto them: But cleave unto the LORD your God, as ye have done unto this day." Always seek Him especially when you are hurting, feeling down and lonely, looking for love and hope, faith, healing and comfort for your soul and in your life! For in God like I have said before, we will always be whole and complete! Always!!

On this day let us also remember and consider that when we seek the Lord and spend time with Him, His character (which refers to a set of moral and mental qualities and beliefs, that makes a person different from others..) and personality (which is the outer appearance and behavior of a person.) and healing virtue rubs off on us. For the more we spend time with God, the more we become like Him, talk like Him, walk like Him and receive the healing that our hearts and soul greatly need. For this is why Mary the sister of Martha and Lazarus sought the Lord and sat before His feet and learned from Him, as we read in the Gospel of Luke in Luke Chapter 10, verses 38-42 "Now it came to pass, as they went, that He entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received Him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus feet and heard His word. But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to Him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part which shall not be taken away from her."

For remember that Jesus is the Water and Bread of Life, the Fountain of Living Waters that satisfies and quenches our thirsty and hungry souls and Mary knew and understood that! For the Lord has told me that you become like those you hang out with. So as you hang out with God or Jesus, in prayer, in His Word, through His Word or words that He speaks through His faithful servants the Prophets, you will become like Him, plain and simple. For when you love Him and seek Him with all your heart, mind, soul and strength, He will always lead you to where He is at and give you the discernment you need to not mingle with the false and the wicked. For He will feed you with His Word and give you His heart, mind and wholeness. For remember that God is whole and complete and when He came to this earth, He did not serve sin, neither did He yield to it and let the devil overcome Him, but resisted him, as he (the devil) has done so with us, but because our flesh is weak we gave in to his temptations and destruction, as we were vulnerable, without hope and salvation without God. For remember that the Lord is our strength through the Holy Spirit to resist him and overcome him.

For remember that instead of us receiving the wrath of God because of our many sins against Him and against others, Jesus paid the full price for our sins which is death, for remember that the penalty or wages of or for sin is death, as we read in Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death: but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." For our Blessed Savior and Lord took upon His body the punishment we deserved, so that we could receive His peace and healing for our hearts, souls, mind and bodies, as we read in the Book of Isaiah the Prophet in Isaiah 53:4-6 "Surely He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him: and with His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all."

So don't find yourself without the peace and healing that the Lord greatly paid for you and I to obtain. For all you have to do is ask Him and seek Him and be as the woman with the issue of blood in the Bible who used wisdom, sought Him and touched the hem of His garment, as we read in the Gospel of Matthew in Matthew 9:20-22 "And behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind Him, and touched the hem of His garment: For she said within herself, If I may but touch His garment, I shall be whole. But Jesus turned Him about, and when He saw her, He said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour." For when you and I seek God with all we have, we touch His Loving heart that is full of Love, Compassion, Kindness, Gentleness and Mercy for us! Blessed be His holy name, now and forever more! For we are not and never are without Hope! For remember what He promised us in the Gospel of John 9:4-5 "I must work the works of Him (God the Father) that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world." For He is our Light, our Purity, Righteousness and Holiness, Savior and Guidance in Life!

Go with God, have a blessed day, a peaceful and joyous week, remembering that the Lord will never get tired of your coming unto Him, for He knows that you daily need Him, especially in these last days and whatever it is that you are in need of in your life! For He always yearns for our presence and companionship, and is here with us through His Faithful and Mighty Holy Spirit, to greatly bless us, heal us and comfort us. So love Him and trust in Him always and remember to daily seek Him in His Word and in Prayer. For remember what He says through His beloved brother James in James 4:2 "Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not." And what Jesus Himself says in the Gospel of John in John 16:24 "Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full."

For those who are rich spiritually and complete in this world, having all of their needs met are the ones who are born again, saved and rich in Jesus, for they know that their Almighty Savior and Lord is always with them and takes good care of them, by supplying unto them all of their needs according to His riches in glory, whether spiritually, emotionally, mentally and physically in their lives, as He promised us through His beloved Apostle Paul in Philippians 4:19 "But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." Blessed be His Powerful and Sweetest Great Name, always!
