Living In The Lord: Not Dying Spiritually! By Nanyamka Boyer
Good day my beloved brother or sister in our Blessed Savior and Loving Lord Jesus Christ, our Comfort in our times of grief and sorrow. May this blog find you in good health, in good spirits and abiding in our Blessed Faithful, Lord and Savior, for in Him alone we find joy, peace, strength and life, both spiritually and physically. Blessed be His Sweetest, Faithful, Holy, Mighty and All Powerful Name! For as Christians we know that we can come boldly unto the throne of grace to obtain mercy and find the grace to help us in times of need, with all of our troubles and heartaches, anytime during the day or night, as it is written in Hebrews 4:16 "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."
For our God does not slumber nor sleeps and is not weary, for He is a strong God, who changes not, as He says in Psalm 121:2-4 "My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: He that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, He that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep." And in Malachi 3:6 "For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed." And also as it is written by the Lord through our beloved brother and Apostle Paul in Philippians 4:6-7 "Be not careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." For we don't need to fear or be anxious about anything, as we have Papa God, God Almighty to give all of our concerns and troubles to. For remember that He is a very present help in times of trouble, as it says by our beloved brother King David in Psalm 46:1 "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." And He cares greatly about us and about our needs, both spiritually and physically!
On this day let us remember to abide or live daily in the Lord, so we don't die spiritually, for remember that He is our Sustenance, our Fountain of Living Waters, the Bread and Water of Life. And apart from Him we die first spiritually and then quickly physically here on earth and then in hell. For sin results and leads to death, both spiritually and physically. For this is why the Apostle Paul wrote in Romans 5:12 "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" And in 1 Corinthians 15:21 "For since by man (Adam) came death, by man (Jesus) came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive (the Saints and those in Hell will also be resurrected)." For when we abide in the Lord we not only continue to move and have our being in Him spiritually, though we live, move and have our being in Him physically, whether we are saved or not, for it is His breath of life in our nostrils that keeps us alive and gives us life, as it is written in Job 27:3-4 "All the while my breath is in me, and the Spirit of God is in my nostrils; My lips shall not speak wickedness, nor my tongue utter deceit." But also and much more, when we are born again, we live, move and have our being in Him spiritually, and He sustains us to continue to live in Him, so we don't fall away and die spiritually, as we choose to follow Him daily and carry our crosses. For living in sin or apart from God leads us to eternal damnation and death in Hell.
For this is why the Lord commands us to abide in Him in the Gospel of John in John 15:4-5 "Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit for without me ye can do nothing." But through Him, as Paul the Apostle says in Philippians 4:13, we can do all things: "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." And as I hear the Lord remind me of what He says in Deuteronomy 30:15-20. so I can relay it to you: "See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land wither thou goest to possess it. But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them; I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it. I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey His voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto Him: for He is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them." And in Joshua 24:14-15 "Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve Him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt (now the world): and serve ye the LORD. And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites (now to us the unbelievers), in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."
Go with Jesus, your Beloved Savior and Lord God Almighty, have a blessed, peaceful and joyous week. Remembering that the joy of the Lord is your strength and if you continue to seek the Lord and abide in Him, you will make it in this world and to Heaven. And as the Lord through the Apostle Paul says in Philippians 4:8-9, so daily do. "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you." For as we stay focused on Jesus we have His peace, joy, life and strength and all we could ever need to overcome the trials of our day, our flesh, this sinful world and our ancient enemy, Satan. For we truly can do all things through Him, who strengthen us!
So bless His Holy, Faithful and Almighty name Saint, for giving us His salvation, love, joy, strength, peace and all we could ever need, through His Faithful and Mighty Holy Spirit!
