Not Living Our Lives Without God!

Updated: Jan 28, 2024

Good day to you my beloved brother or sister in our Blessed Savior and Lord Jesus Christ, our Sustenance and Provider in life! It is my prayer that this devotion finds you full of courage and faith in your God and not discouraged. For as our beloved brother King David encouraged himself in the Lord, when the Amalekites had invaded Ziklag, where he and his people dwelt to hide himself from King Saul, as he kept persecuting him and following him, after they had burned it with fire and taken his and their wives captives, as we read in the Book of Samuel the Prophet in 1 Samuel 30:5-6 "And David's two wives were taken captives, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite. And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God."

So you too encourage yourself in the Lord, by seeking Him in prayer, in His Word and through Praise and Worship music, so you can have your hope and faith revived in Him and be refilled to overflowing with His Precious, Faithful and Mighty Holy Spirit, so you can keep your spirit up or sustained in Him, filled with hope, courage, power, boldness, might and all of the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit that the Apostle Paul tells us in Galatians 5:22-23 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law."

On this day let us also remember that the Lord did not create us for us to go through life alone and without Him, for if He did, we would all have it all together and be perfect without sin and without making painful mistakes. So don't go back to what the Lord delivered you from, which is sin and death, as the Lord through His beloved Apostle Peter tells us in 2 Peter 2:18-22 "For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error. While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. But it is happened unto the according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again: and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire."

But stay your course with and in God, whom all blessings flow, as they say. And keep the First Commandment that is written in Deuteronomy 6:5 "And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might." For when you have Him, you have the Source of Life, the Tree of Life that gives you life abundantly, both spiritually and physically.

For the blessings of God will always come and go, but the Source who is the Lord Himself will always stay and be available to you and I to help us and encourage us to go on in life without us giving up! And for as long as you have the Provider or the Source of Life in your life, you will never go without, whether it is spiritually or physically. For this is why if a person is poor without Jesus, he is poor or if he is rich without Jesus, he is still poor. Because the rich all they have is their wealth and the Lord is a God who gives and takes away and once their blessings or material wealth is gone or removed from them that is all they had.

For this is why the Lord tells us in Proverbs 23:4-5 "Labor not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom. Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? For riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven."

For even when the enemy steals from us, the Lord always restores unto us that which we have lost, as He did with His servant Job in Job Chapter 42, because He greatly loves us and cares about us!

So please don't ever attempt to live your life without God, thinking that you will be alright without Him, for once saved is not always saved, as the Lord tells us in Ezekiel 2:20-21 and Ezekiel 18:24. For we must abide in Him, as He is the Branch and we are His branches if we are to live spiritually and physically or we will die in our sins, as He says in the Gospel of John in John 15:1-9 "I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit He taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, He purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit; for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love."

Go with God, have a blessed, joyous and peaceful week, remembering that with Jesus you will never lose your soul, go without your spiritual and physical needs being met and go wrong in life. For we serve a Mighty, Wise and Faithful God, who is a Jack of All Trades and a Master of All! And whose understanding and wisdom is infinite, as we read in Psalm 147:5, by our beloved brother King David. "Great is our Lord, and of great power: His understanding is infinite."

Serve a God who loves us immensely and cares for us and about us, who has engraved our names in the palms of His hands, has all of our hairs numbered, so He can always remember us, as He says in His Word. And as you daily serve Him, He will see that all of your needs are always met according to His riches in glory, by His Beloved Son, Jesus, as He promises us in Philippians 4:19 "But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
