Not Settling For Less In Life!

Updated: Apr 11, 2020

Good day to you my beloved brother or sister in our Faithful Savior and Lord Jesus Christ, our Strong Tower and Refuge in and from our storms of life! It is my prayer that this blog finds you in good health, both spiritually and physically, also in the faith and joy of the Lord. And remember that if you are found lacking His peace and joy that it is our strength spiritually and physically, know that all you need to do is just ask Him to send you a fresh infilling of His Holy Spirit, so you can receive His fruits, joy and strength to see you through life and through your trials and tribulations. For remember that the Lord, through the Holy Ghost is our Sustainer in life and enables us to stand after we have done all. For as it is written in His Word in Ephesians 6:13 about us standing in our faith and walk with God, when we go through trials and tribulations, as we put on the whole armor of God and submit daily to His authority. "Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand."

And as we are now going through the valley of the shadow of death and dark night of the soul, let us remember that the Lord is in full control of what is happening around us in this world and in our lives. And remember that as His beloved children, the Saints, we must also go through the fire, spiritually, to purify us, so we can be more in His image. For remember that without holiness, no man shall see Him, as it is written in His Word in Hebrews 12:14 "Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:" For this is why it is written in 1 Peter 4:12-13, to do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial that is testing us, for we are also partakers of the Lord's sufferings. "Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when His glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy." So remain strong in your faith and seek the Lord for His guidance, provision and strength to see you through this calamity.

On this day let us also remember that when we do not pray, we settle for less in life and for what the devil gives us instead of the best of what the Lord has for us in life. For by not praying we let the devil control our lives and lead us to death, both spiritually and physically. This is why the Lord commands us in Proverbs 3:6 to acknowledge Him in all of our ways, so He can direct or guide our paths in life. "In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths." And in Isaiah 48:17, He also promises us, as His beloved people that He teaches us to profit and leads us by the way that we should go, so we can prosper in life spiritually and physically, and also not settle for what the devil has for us. For remember that Satan's purpose is to kill, steal and destroy, as the Lord says. "Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go."

In these times of great darkness upon the world, we must greatly lean upon the Lord, for His wisdom and instruction upon our lives, and not play Church or we will be consumed by the devil and end up at the wrong place at the wrong time. For this is why it is also written in Proverbs 14:12 "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death." So as we now desperately need the Lord in these dark times, let us seek the Lord for His guidance and mercy upon the souls of men and upon our own souls and lives and not leave Him, as we greatly need Him. Remember that we, as His beloved people have the power in our hands to change the tide and the history of man, by praying to the Lord for mercy. For this is why He commands us to pray and seek His face in 2 Chronicles 7:14 "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways: then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." And in Jeremiah 29:7, the Lord also commands us, as He commanded the children of the tribe of Judah, when they were taken captives to Babylon in the times of King Nebuchadnezzar and the Prophet Jeremiah to pray for the peace of the city, so we may have peace in it. "And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace."

Remember that the Lord is always God, strong and powerful, especially in times of great darkness and that He changes not, as He says in Malachi 3:6 "For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed." And in Hebrews 13:8 "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever." For our God is mighty, is not weary, as He says in Isaiah 40:28-31 "Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of His understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might He increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fail: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." And nothing moves Him or catches Him off guard, for all things come from Him, whether good or evil, as it says in Colossians 1:16-17 "For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him. And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist." And has a purpose and a plan in and for what He is doing in the world and is also happening in each human life.

And although this is extremely uncomfortable and difficult for us to go through, He remains faithful, by still supplying all of our needs according to His riches in glory, by His Son Jesus Christ, as He promised us that He will do in Philippians 4:19 "But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." And also continues to give us His grace to see us through it, just as He promised our beloved Paul the Apostle in 2 Corinthians 12:8-10 "For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong."

So pray and keep on praying until all of this is over, for nothing lasts forever, as the Lord says. For remember that He is the Alpha and Omega, the First and the last, the Beginning and the End of all things in this world, including our lives. And will see us through its' end, for as it is written in Ecclesiastes 3:1 "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven:" And that He makes all things beautiful in HIS TIME, as it says in Ecclesiastes 3:11 "He hath made every thing beautiful in His time: also He hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end."

Go with God, have a peaceful, blessed and joyous week. And remember to hold on to His unchanging hand and to never let it go. For remember that with and in the Lord, we can do all things, that He requires from us, to go through. For He will always give us the strength we need to see us through it, as we continue to trust in Him, not lean on our understanding, as He says in Proverbs 3:5, for us not to do "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding." And to ask Him daily to guide us, as we pray. For remember that those who have not, are those that ask not, as He says through His beloved brother James in James 4:2 "Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and wait, yet ye have not, because ye ask not." But as the Lord Jesus says in John 16:24 "Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full."

So don't settle for what the devil gives you in life, but for the best your Heavenly Father has planned for you to have in life, both spiritually and physically. For remember that His plans for you and your life, are to give you an expected end or a hope and a future, both in this world and in Heaven, as He says in Jeremiah 29:11-13 "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart." Blessed be His holy name, even in this our darkest hour. For He is making the way, even when there is no way for us to go through!

So be strong, fear not and remain faithful to Him, who changes not and will never leave you nor forsake you, especially when you need Him most!! Amen!
