Owe No One Nothing, But To Love One Another! By Nanyamka Boyer
Good day to you my beloved brother or sister in our Blessed, Faithful, Mighty Savior and Sweet Lord Jesus Christ, our Great and Loyal Companion, Comforter and Strong Tower in and from our storms of life. Blessed be His Holy name! It is my prayer that this devotion finds you healthy and abiding strong in our Lord and daily abiding in the finished work of the Cross for your soul and life.
For remember that believing in the Cross of Jesus is the power of God unto our salvation to the Jews first and also to us the Gentile Nations, as it is written by the Lord through our blessed and mighty brother Paul the Apostle in Romans 1:16 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek." So never be ashamed of the Gospel and Cross of Jesus, for it is the only way to the Father in Heaven and the only right way to live healthy and successful in this world, both spiritually and physically. For the lost are the ones who are eternally damned unless they repent of their sins and come to the Cross of Jesus and are without God, who is the only missing piece in our spirits, hearts and souls. And is the only true satisfaction for our souls to be complete and fulfilled in this world, as He alone is the Fountain of Living Waters, Bread and Water of Life.
So if you are finding yourself thirsty and hungry spiritually go to the Rock, who is Jesus, so He can fill you to overflowing and afresh with His Holy Spirit, for as I just heard Him remind me, so I can give it unto you what He says in the Gospel of Matthew in Matthew 11:28-30 "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." So go and drink deeply from the water of life of Jesus, your Beloved Bridegroom and Faithful Loving Savior.
On this day let us also remember to owe no one anything, but to only love them, as it is written in Romans 13:8 "Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law." For remember that as Christians and beloved Saints of God, we are called to walk in love with our fellow man even if they are in sin, as it is written in Ephesians 5:2 "And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given Himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour." So owe no money to anyone, for this is why the Lord says in Proverbs 3:27-28 "Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee." And give no offense to any one, by being a bully towards someone, especially if they have not wronged you, as that is not of God. For this is also why the Lord says and commands us not to do in Proverbs 3:29-30 "Devise not evil against thy neighbour, seeing he dwelleth securely by thee (because you might need his help one of these days). Strive not with a man without cause, if he have done thee no harm."
Also owe no one anything, including an apology if you have wronged them, for remember that before the Lord, we must daily do what is right in His eyes. For part of being a Christian is acknowledging our sins or our wrongs, especially when we offend one of the Lord's children. For remember that when we do, we also offend the Lord and grieve His Holy Spirit. For this is why He commands us in Proverbs 6:1-3 "My son, if thou be surety for thy friend, if thou hast stricken thy hand with a stranger, Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth. Do this now, my son, and deliver thyself, when thou art come in the hand of thy friend; go, humble thyself and make sure thy friend."
And also in the Gospel of Matthew in Matthew 18:6, the Lord takes seriously those who offend His children, the Saints, for when someone comes against them, the Apple of His eye, they come against Him and He hates evil. "But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea." Also in Matthew 25:40, the Lord also says: "And the King shall answer and say unto them (the wicked), Verily I say unto you, inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me."
And this also includes, when you mistreat one of His children, including the lost and do not repent. For repentance means confessing your sins unto God, apologizing to the one you have wronged, if they are still alive and also of turning away from those sins, as it says in James 5:16 "Confess your faults one to another, (this includes sins against one another) and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." And in Matthew 5:23-24, He also commands us: "Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee: Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way: first be reconciled to thy brother and then come and offer thy gift."
One of the fruits that are worthy of repentance before the Father is a change of heart and of acknowledging one's sins and humbling ourselves before that one whom we have wronged. For this is the fruit of pride, which is of the flesh, when we refuse to humble ourselves and apologize to our fellow man, when we have wronged him or her. And remember that the Lord resists the proud, but gives His grace unto the humble, as it is written in James 4:6 "But He giveth more grace. Wherefore He saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble."
Also remember that even if that person does not apologizes to you for wronging you that we still have to forgive them, so we can be forgiven by God, as He commands us to do in the Gospel of Matthew in Matthew 6:14-15 "For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."
And don't let your heart be and grow bitter, but give the pain to the Lord in prayer, so He can bring healing, restoration and peace to your heart and soul. And the justice in your life. For remember that He has promised that the battle and the vengeance are His and not ours to handle, but only through prayer and fasting, and to fight against the devil alone with the weapons of our warfare are we to fight with spiritually that are written in 2 Corinthians 10:4-6 "(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled."
Go with God, have a blessed, peaceful and joyous week, remembering that as the Lord is love and suffers long, envies not anyone, is not haughty or self- absorbed, does not behave rudely or inappropriate, is kind towards all, does not rejoices in iniquity, but in the truth, so we must also be towards our fellow man, including our enemies and those who are not saved, as it is written in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 "Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil: Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth: Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away."
And as the Lord also commands us, let us daily do what He says in the Gospel of John in John 13:34 "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another."
For as we have been born again, and as the Lord reminds me, so I can remind you of what He says in Romans 5:5, we now have His love in our hearts, by His Holy Spirit, so we can love our fellow man, even when it is impossible to do so and be able to daily walk in love and also through His amazing grace. "And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us." Blessed be His holy name, for daily giving us what we need to be His beloved children and walk in His love and grace.
