Remembering The Sacrifice Of Jesus!

Updated: Jan 28, 2024

Good day to you my beloved brother or sister in our Strong Savior and Lord Jesus Christ, our Mighty God! It is my prayer that you are doing well spiritually and physically, especially spiritually and are still walking hand in hand with your Blessed and Loving Savior, Jesus Christ. For as King David wrote about the Lord and kept Him always at his right hand, so I pray that you are also keeping Him close to you and in your heart, as he wrote in Psalm 16:8 "I have set the LORD always before me: because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved."

And that you remember that the Lord is with you, greatly loves you and is for you and not against you, as He promises us through the Apostle Paul in Romans 8:31-39 "What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth."

So continue to walk with your chin up and have faith and hope in Jesus, the Sweet Lover of your soul, for all the answers to your questions and problems to be resolved, as you seek Him in prayer and in intimacy. For to what you are now going through has an end, as He is the Beginning and the End of all things and as it is written in Ecclesiastes 3:1 "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven."

For all you have to do is continue to wait on Him with the answers to your prayers and be as King David was that had his confidence in God and lifted up his eyes unto the hills from where his help came from, as he wrote in Psalm 121:1-2 "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth." For he was a man who looked for and unto God for all his needs to be met in his life, so be and do the same, as he did and was before God.

On this day let us also remember to never forget the sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross for us and not only on Passover week and Easter Sundays. For if it wasn't for His accomplishment for us on the Cross, we would be a people without the hope of eternal life in and with Him in heaven. And without ever having hope in this life to be a better people, have a better life and a future in heaven and here on earth. For it cost the Lord greatly to have to leave His heavenly abode, become a man, born of a woman, live like a man and not God and die for us, when He was here on earth now almost 2,000 years ago.

For He was truly a man of sorrows, as His Word says, a man who was greatly hated, rejected even by His own brethren. And persecuted throughout His ministry, even before His arrest in the Garden of Gethsemane, trial and Crucifixion on the Cross. For He was constantly harassed and tormented by the devil, through the Sadducees, the Pharisees and those who did not believe in Him, as we read in the Gospels.

And because the penalty for sin is death, He had to die for us and shed His Precious Blood upon the altar of God in heaven, as the animals in the Old Testament had to be sacrificed upon the Burning or Brazen Altar that was in the Tabernacle, before the Holy and Most Holy Place and in the Temples that were built afterwards, for the atonement or the reconciliation of the souls of the people of Israel, for their sins, as God the Father commanded them to do and tells us in Leviticus 17:11 "For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul."

For as the Apostle Paul wrote and understood about the reason why the Lord's blood had to be shed, as we read in the Book of Hebrews that without the shedding of blood there is no remission or forgiveness of sins.

For His blood now sits upon the mercy seat of the Ark of the Covenant of God in Heaven and speaks on our behalf to the Father for the forgiveness and atonement of our souls, when we sin and repent of them through Jesus, as we read in Hebrews 9:22-26 "And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these: but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us. Nor yet that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; For then must He often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath He appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself."

So every time the devil tempts you to sin against the Lord, think about how much it cost Him for you to be free from him, sin, live and not die, both spiritually and physically, here on earth and in Heaven.

For He even went to hell for you and I, and was there for three full days and three full nights, as He tells us in the Gospel of Matthew in Matthew 12:40 "For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth." And also the prophecy that King David wrote about the Father not leaving His soul in hell in Psalm 16:9-10 "Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope. For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption."

And in 1 Peter 3:18-20, we also read: "For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit. By which also He went and preached unto the spirits in prison: Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water."

So as you daily walk with the Lord and obey Him, you acknowledge His death on the Cross for you and appreciate the fact that it wasn't easy for Him to die for you and I, as He went through great agony, torture and torment, so that we could live in Him and not die. So do not take it for granted it, and remember what it says in the Book of Isaiah about Him, that He had to go through in Isaiah 53:3-7 "He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from Him; He was despised, and we esteemed Him not. Surely He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth: He is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so He openeth not His mouth."

Go with God, have a blessed, joyous and peaceful week, remembering that the Lord's love and salvation for you and I, is free, as he laid down His life for us freely, as He tells us in the Gospel of John in John 10:15 "As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep." And in verses 17-18 of the same Chapter, He also says: "Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself, I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father."

And all you have to do is keep or stay within the Lord's perfect will for you, by obeying Him, so you can remain saved. And not be ashamed of Him and of His Gospel, before men, as it is the power of God unto our salvation, as the Apostle Paul wrote in Romans 1:16 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek."
