The Lord Jesus: The Great I Am! By Nanyamka Boyer
Good day to you my beloved brother or sister in our Beloved, Faithful Savior and Blessed Lord, Jesus Christ, our Strength, Great Comforter and Strong Security in this world. May this devotion find you well, both spiritually and physically, you and your loved ones, as we continue to wait on the Lord to bring us out of these calamities. And as we continue walking hand in hand with Jesus, the Sweet Lover of our souls, as He takes you and I through life and through our trials and tribulations. For remember that as we daily abide in Him, He walks with us and sustains us both spiritually and physically, through His amazing grace, as He promised His beloved servant and our beloved brother Paul the Apostle in 2 Corinthians 12:8-9 "For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."
For as Christians, we know that in the Lord we will always be complete and fulfilled to live in this world, for remember that He alone completes us or makes us, as He is the Fountain of Living Waters, the Water of Life and Bread of Life that satisfies our hungry and thirsty souls, as we know and also read in His Word in Jeremiah 2:13 "My people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns (those that are in the world and the false church, as their counsel or doctrine is not the pure Word of God and their fountain is polluted), that can hold no water." And through the Gospel of John, as we read in John 6:35 "And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger, and he that believeth on me shall never thirst." Also in John 6:51 "I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life (or so that the world can live spiritually through Him and have eternal life) of the world." And in John 4:14 "But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst, but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life."
So as you go through the valley of the shadow of death or through the dark night of the soul in your life, let the Lord feed you, complete you, comfort you, love on you, protect you, satisfy you, fight for you in the spiritual realm and give you the victory. For all the things that we see, have in this world and will ever go through in life are temporal and are not eternal, as the Lord through the Apostle Paul tells us in 2 Corinthians 4:18 "While we look not at the things which are seen, but the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal." And only the Lord is permanent in this world or is set in stone, abiding with us and in us His beloved Saints and not anything or anyone for us to rely upon, as our source of and in life. For as we daily seek Him in His Word, and also through prayer, fasting, praise and worship music, we find in Him comfort, hope, joy, strength, faith and have the security and safety from the storms of life and also know that He is carrying us safely unto the other side, through His Faithful and Mighty Holy Spirit, as He promises us that He will always do in His Word in Isaiah 40:31 "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk; and not faint." And in the Gospel of John in John 3:8 "The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit." So let the Lord Jesus carry you through life and daily rely upon your God and never give up on Him, especially as you are going through trials, for those are the times that you need Him and His love, strength, comfort, hope, faith, joy and peace the most in your life! Blessed be His Strong and Sweetest Mighty Name!
On this day let us also remember that our Sweet and Beloved Strong God is the Great I Am of this world and of our lives, for when we need Him to be anything for us, He is Faithful and True to give us that part of Himself that we need or provide us what we need Him to be for us and to give unto us at that moment in our lives, our need. For if we need Him to be our Lawyer, Provider, Witness, Deliverer, Bread of Life or Doctor, He is that to us. For this is also why He is called Faithful and True, as we read by our beloved brother John the Apostle, the Beloved Apostle in the Book of Revelation in Revelation 19:11-12 "And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and He that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns; and He had a name written, that no man knew, but He Himself."
For He also is always the God of the present, the God who always existed, and will always exist: the Ancient of Days. For He always is existing and this is why He is the: I AM, and told His servant Moses that I AM had sent him (Moses) unto the children of Israel to deliver them from the grip of Pharaoh's slavery, as we read in Exodus 3:13-15 "And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is His name? what shall I say unto them? And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and He said, Thus shall thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you." And this He says because He has always been, always is, and always will be, as we read that His beloved angels or the four beasts say in Heaven around His throne, when we read in Revelation 4:8-11 "And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to Him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever, The four and twenty elders fall down before Him that sat on the throne, and worship Him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created."
For this is also why He says in the Book of Malachi, the Prophet that He is the Lord and changes not, because He is always existing and is the same in His character or is always the I AM, steady, unchangeable and unmovable in Malachi 3:6 "For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed." And in Hebrews 13:8 "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever." So trust in the Lord's ways, unchangeable character and wisdom. And know that you have a BIG God that is strong and mighty, always existed and will always exist. For He will not and will never let the world and your life be out of His control. So have nothing to fear, for as He has not let anything and no one that is of His will, fail in this world from bringing His purpose to pass, so will He continue to uphold your life and this world in His mighty hands!
Go with God, have a blessed, joyous and peaceful week, daily resting in the Lord's Mighty hands. Also remembering to let Him be for you everything that you daily need Him to be, to keep you and sustain you, especially the Mighty Savior of your soul and life, Sweet Lover of your soul, so you don't feel unloved, unwanted and seek His love in people, things and in all the wrong places. So you always know that He alone is your Provider and Source of Life! For we don't have a weak and poor God, but a God who is strong and rich in His love, provisions and great mercies and compassion toward us. And always and daily does impossible things, for He makes the impossible be possible by making a way of escape, especially for those who believe in Him and in His Mighty and All-powerful Name, as He says through His Archangel Gabriel in Luke 1:37 "For with God nothing, shall be impossible." And in Matthew 19:26 "But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." So have faith, live in your faith and love for God, and as Jesus would say: "Have the faith of God, that can move mountains!" Amen!
