The ONE Who Cares! By Nanyamka Boyer
Good day to you my beloved brother or sister in our Faithful, Blessed Savior and Lord Jesus Christ, our Lily of the valleys and in our valleys. It is my prayer that this devotion finds you healthy and strong in the Lord, both spiritually and physically, as well as your loved ones. For as we at times go through the dark night of the soul, as we are going through now, the Lord is with us, as He is our strength and light in the darkness. For as it is written in His Word that the light and the darkness are both alike unto Him, by our beloved King David in Psalm 139:12 "Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee." For as the Lord has told me that: "the darkness is just the absence of His light" or of His presence. And this does not mean that He is not in control of it and is no longer with us. For He loves us, and more than anyone could ever love us in this world, and is a God who goes through everything that we go through and will ever go through on this earth. For remember that the Lord is called: "Faithful and True," and is Light, pure light, and in Him there's no shadow of turning, including no unfaithfulness or sin, as our beloved brother John the Apostle, the Beloved of God, says in 1 John 1:4-5 "And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. This then is the message which we have heard of Him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all."
For as we daily abide in Jesus, and walk with Him and in His Holy and Blessed Commandments for the well being of us all, no matter what we are presently going through in our lives, we abide under the Precious shadow of His wing, and in His pure light, where He always is. For this is why it is also written by the Apostle John, the Faithful Apostle of Jesus in 1 John 1:6-7 "If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another (or with Him), and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin." So know that as the Lord has told me, He is always with us, whether we can discern His presence or not. And as He is Light, we dwell in His light, from where all faith, comfort, hope, joy, strength, peace, provision (both spiritually and physically), and encouragement flows from, as He will never leave us nor forsake us, especially when we are walking through the dark night of the soul or through the valley of the shadow of death, as some of us are.
For remember that as He also says in Job, through Job's friend: E-li-phaz the Temanite, so it is always the case with man, as we read in Job 5:7 "Yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward." And in Ecclesiastes 9:11-12 "I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill: but time and chance happeneth to them all. For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare: so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them." And as Christians we know that we must daily carry our crosses before the Lord, if we are to walk with Jesus and make it to Heaven, as the Lord Jesus did for us almost 2,000 years ago and hung for our sins on that rugged Cross. But remember that as His beloved people and Saints, He gave us His promise in which He says in Psalm 34:19 "Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all." And also in Psalm 30:5 "For His anger endureth but a moment; in His favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning." So the sun will shine upon our hearts and lives again, as the Lord continues to keep His promises in this world and in our lives, so have faith or the faith of God, and continue to wait on the Lord and to seek Him for encouragement, as you go through that trial and tribulation.
On this day let us remember that we have a God who cares about us greatly and of our needs, whether it is a spiritual, emotional or physical need, for as He was with His people, the Nation of Israel, now almost 2,000 years ago, so is He now with us, through His Holy Spirit. For as He healed their sick, fed the hungry, both spiritually and physically with His Word and with the Bread and Fishes, as we read in the Gospels, including in the Gospel of Matthew that He multiplied for them, so that they wouldn't go without being healed and hungry in Matthew 14:14-21 "And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and He healed their sick. And when it was evening, His disciples came to Him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitudes away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals (or food). But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart, give ye them to eat. And they say unto Him, We have here but five loaves and two fishes. He said, Bring them hither to me. And He commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, He blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to His disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full. And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children."
For the Lord is the same, yesterday, today and forever more, as it says in Hebrews 13:8 "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever." And as God the Father says in Malachi 3:6 "For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed." And is not a respecter of person, as the Apostle Paul says in Romans 2:11 "For there is no respect of persons with God." But we must daily abide in Him, seek Him daily in prayer, and remain persistent with Him until the answers to our prayers come, as long as they are according to His will for our lives. But remember to first seek His Kingdom or the things that are of God and His righteousness or first do what pleases Him in obeying His Commandments and then all of these things that we need and desire of Him to do for us, will be granted unto us, as He says and promises us in Matthew 6:33 "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you."
For remember that sin is a brick wall that separates us from God and He cannot help us in life, if we live in sin, do things apart from Him, His wisdom and counsel, and do not ask Him for His help. For even if we have been born again, we must from the moment of salvation, pray daily unto Him, for remember that not praying is a sin, as it is written in 1 Samuel 12:23 "Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way." And in 1 John 1:9-10 "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us." So please don't let your sin and pride keep you from your God, Savior, Lord, Heavenly Father, His blessings and provisions for you, for you were not created to go through life alone, especially with the devil daily on your heels in your life to destroy you and kill you. For remember that he is the one who comes to steal, kill and destroy, as the Lord says in John 10:10 "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."
So never believe the lie of Satan, when he says to you through others and through your own mind that the Lord has abandoned you and does not care about you. For God is love and He cannot hate His own creation, including you, especially when He made you in His image. But sin, remember that is what separates us from God and its' wages or reward or penalty is death, as the Lord through the Apostle Paul says in Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." That includes going to hell, after we die, if we have not repented of our sins unto the Lord and asked Him to come into our hearts and be our own personal Savior and Lord. And also by going through un-necessary sufferings on this earth, for not being in the center of His perfect will for and in our lives. For He is a God who cares and is not blind nor deaf to our sufferings and has a purpose and a plan for all He does in our lives, and I speak mostly concerning the believer in Christ. For the lost do not give Him a chance to show them that He is God.
Go with God, have a peaceful and joyful week in and with the Lord. And remember that as you daily follow Him and continue to trust in Him and rely upon Him, including in His wisdom, comfort, friendship, provision and companionship that if He is for you, as He reminded me to let you know, then who can be against you?, as He says through our beloved Paul the Apostle in Romans 8:31 "What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?" Blessed be His holy name, for being a God who cares about us and does not abandon us, but always makes a way of escape for us and gives us the victory over our sinful flesh, sinful world, Satan and his demons!
