The Word Of God Is Powerful! By Nanyamka Boyer
Good day to you my beloved brother or sister in our Faithful Savior and Lord Jesus Christ, our Light in this world, especially in times of darkness in our lives. It is my prayer that this devotion finds you healthy, full of faith, courageous and still walking in unity, harmony and in intimacy with the Lord. For remember that in Him alone we always find our spiritual and physical nourishment, hope and the answers to our questions, prayers and problems in our lives. For He is the Solution to them and this is why He commands us and encourages us to cast our burdens upon Him, so He can sustain us and not fall away, through His beloved servant King David in Psalm 55:22 "Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and He shall sustain thee: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved." And in 1 Peter 5:7 "Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you."
On this day let us remember that the Lord gave us His Word, not only for the instructions of His ways or for our standard to follow in life, which is for the benefit in and for our lives, so we can prosper in this world, but also for the direction, strength, (both spiritually and physically), and mighty sword against the enemy of our souls, who is Satan. For it is also there to give us hope, faith and encouragement in our walk with God, as we imitate Jesus, when we use it against the enemy, by rebuking him with His Holy Word, as He did, when he (the devil) tempted Him in the wilderness, as we read in the Gospels, when he comes against us. And also by using the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven, which is the binding and of loosing things on earth, so they can be bound and loosed in heaven, as we read in the Gospel of Matthew in Matthew 18:18 "Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in Heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." And also to speak life in our lives and circumstances and not death or discouragement. For this is why the Lords says through King Solomon in Proverbs 18:21 "Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." And also in Job 22:28 "Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways."
Let us also remember that the Word of God is our judge, as it discerns our hearts and lives, as it also shows us what we must consider, change in our ways before Him in order for us to be in right standing with God (the Holy Trinity), as He is holy. For this is why it is also written in Hebrews 4:12 "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." For remember that without holiness, as it is written in Hebrews 12:14, no man shall see Him. "Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord." For at the last day or on Judgment Day, when we stand before the Son of God and of Man, His Word that He has given us, will judge us, as He promises and will come to pass, as we read in the Gospel of John in John 12:48 "He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day."
So let us use wisdom and daily abide in His Word, by studying and also applying His Word or Commandments in our lives. For as we also spend time with the Lord, through His Word, we become more like Him, less carnal and our minds are renewed and washed in His Word. For this is why we are told by Him, through the Apostle Paul in Ephesians 5:26-27 "That He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That He might present it to Himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish." And in Romans 12:2 "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."
For remember that also in the Word of God we find the strength and courage to fight the devil, as we carry the Sword of the spirit or Word of God in our hearts and in our hands. So don't ever underestimate the Word of God, which is your mighty sword and weapon against the devil and his demons, for it is His voice and holy ways. And whatever the Lord says, and also as He speaks through you, carries His mighty power and also over Satan. And Satan and his demons tremble at it, must yield to it and flee, as they are the creature and not the Creator. And are and must remain under His subjection or authority, as it is also their judgment and mighty power against them. And there's none who is greater than God Almighty in this world and in the whole Universe, but God alone! For as He also says in Isaiah 55:10-11 "For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." Amen and blessed be His holy name, for our God is always in control of all things, as all things are before Him and through Him, as we read in Colossians 1:17 "And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist."
Go with God, have a blessed, joyful and encouraging week in the Lord and through the Lord. Remembering that in your heart, hand and mouth, you carry a mighty weapon against the enemy, as His Holy and Mighty Word abides in you. For the weapons of our warfare are mighty through God, as Paul the Apostle says in 2 Corinthians 10:4-6 "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled." And in and with Jesus, you can do all things to overcome this world, your flesh, battles, the devil and all his demons!
So as the Lord says and would say to us once again, as He said it, through the Apostle Paul in Ephesians 6:10-12 "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." So be strong and stay focused on Jesus, always!
