Walking In Forgiveness, So We Can Be Forgiven By God! By Nanyamka Boyer
Good day to you my beloved brother or sister in our Beloved and Blessed Savior and Lord Jesus Christ, our Bright and Morning Star, the Beginning and the End of our days in this world. It is my prayer that this devotion finds you healthy, (spiritually, emotionally, mentally and physically), you and your loved ones and still abiding in the Lord and staying close to Jesus, our Wonderful Savior.
As He alone is the One who commands our mornings and allows us to see another day that was not promised for none of us to see, as He told His servant Job in Job 38:12-13 "Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; and caused the dayspring to know his place; That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it?"
And as I hear Him remind me, so I can give it unto you what He says that it is because of His sweet mercies and love toward us and upon our souls that we are not consumed, as it is written in Lamentations, by the Prophet Jeremiah and it is also one of my favorite scriptures that we read in Lamentations 3:22-23 "It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness."
For in Him we live, and move and have our being, as the Lord through the Apostle Paul tells us in Acts 17:28 "For in Him we live, and move, and have our being, as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are His offspring."
So daily remember that it is because of the Lord's loving mercy, compassion and great love for you and I that we wake up every morning, see another day and have another chance at life to die more to our selfish and evil nature and ungodly ways, as we yield to His Precious, Powerful and Mighty Holy Spirit. Blessed be His holy name, for giving Him to us, so we have the strength to do His will and resist the devil, that vicious enemy of our souls.
On this day let us remember to walk in forgiveness, so we can be forgiven by God, so that no root of bitterness takes root in our fragile hearts and sensitive souls. For we must also forgive to keep our hearts free, clean, in right standing with God and guarded from bitterness and un-forgiveness. For if we don't forgive, neither will our Heavenly Father forgive us of our trespasses that we have committed against Him, as He commands us in the Gospels and in the Gospel of Matthew in Matthew 6:13-15 "For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if you forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."
For we as Christians will continue to be persecuted and have our rights, as children made in the image of God and Saints of Jesus, violated or trespassed against us and sometimes daily, by those who sin against us willfully and un-willfully. And we must ask the Lord to give us His amazing grace, strength and heart of love, compassion and mercy, so that we can also love and forgive our enemies and not only those who love us and do right by us.
For as the Lord has taught me, forgiving them is a release of their debt against us, and as we set them free, we also free our hearts from all grudge and bitterness against them. For we cannot serve the Lord with hate, anger, un-forgiveness and bitterness in our hearts, ut with His heart of love, compassion and mercy. So release those who have trespassed against you and act as if they never wronged you, because you have forgiven them.
I know it is not easy to forgive at first, as I myself have and go through this continually, as I also go through the dark night of the soul, when we have been wronged, but we must forgive if we are to go on in this world free and strong in the Lord, without having the shackles of sin hold us back. For we must not let anything and anyone hold us captive to the devil and to the past. For this is why the Lord, through Paul the Apostle tells us in Philippians 3:13-14 "Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ of Jesus."
But let us instead hate sin and not the sinner or the one who have fallen short of God's glory and give them and their issues to the Lord in prayer for Him to handle them for us. For remember that hurt people hurt others and is a battle against the devil, as he uses them to come against others and especially the Saints of God, as the Lord tells us through His beloved and mighty Apostle Paul in Ephesians 6:12 "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
So take the battle at the gate, as the Lord says and instead take all of your energy and strength against the devil and his demons and put him where he belongs, which is under the soles of your feet, by rebuking him and binding him, through the Word of God that is a mighty weapon against him. And let the Lord bring you justice and heal your heart and soul from the wound that that person and enemy of our souls (the devil), inflicted upon you. For remember that vengeance is the Lord's and that there's none that can escape the Lord's seeing Almighty eye and justice, as it is written in Romans 12:19-20 "Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink; for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good."
And in Jeremiah 23:24 "Can anyone hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD; Do I not fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD." And we are a people, the saint and the sinner, who reaps what we sow, whether spiritually, physically and even financially, as we read by the Lord, through His Apostle Paul in Galatians 6:7-10 "Be not deceived; God is not mocked; for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing; for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith."
Go with God, have a peaceful, joyous and blessed week, remembering that the Lord will never give us more than we can bear, though sometimes it seems that way, for He shares in our sufferings and carries our burdens and sorrows, as we have given Him our lives. For this is why He wants us to take His yoke upon us, so we can be yoked to Him, and not to the devil anymore, as we read in Matthew 11:29-30 "Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
For He will grant us the grace to overcome and forgive others, if we just ask Him, for remember that we are encouraged to boldly go unto His mighty throne of grace to obtain mercy and find the grace to help us in all of our times of need, as it is written by the Lord, through His beloved Apostle Paul in Hebrews 4:16 "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."
And also remember that is not worth going to hell due to un-forgiveness, for remember that the sinner is lost, lacks understanding and does not realize that he is being held accountable before the Lord and will be judged according to his sins or works before the Lord, here on earth, also when he dies and at the Great White Throne Judgment that we read in the Book of Revelation. For this is why it's written in Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." And also in Hebrews 9:27 "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:.."
For this why the Lord Jesus asked the Father to forgive those who nailed Him to the Cross, scourged Him, and greatly mocked Him, for if they knew that their bad choices or sins have great consequences before God, they would be wise, as we read in the Gospels and in the Gospel of Luke 23:34 "Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted His raiment, and cast lots." So let us forgive, as Jesus did, so we can be forgiven by God, knowing that we can do it, as He gives us His strength and grace, through the Holy Spirit, as we read in Philippians 4:13. Blessed be His holy name, now and forever more! Amen!
