Walking In The Authority Of Jesus! By Nanyamka Boyer
Good day to you my beloved brother or sister in our Beloved and Mighty Savior and Lord Jesus Christ, our Wisdom and Guidance in Life! It is my prayer that this devotion finds you well and full of hope in Jesus and not in any one or anything else in this world, as man will fail you. For remember that we serve a Mighty, Faithful and Jealous God, that will not share His glory with no man and graven images, as we were created for Him and not for us to depend upon others to help us in life and give His honor and glory to man, as He says in Isaiah 42:8 "I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images."
For remember that the Lord's hand is not short that cannot save us from our troubles, but remember that sin separates us from God, as He says in Isaiah 59:1-2 "Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither His ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you that He will not hear." So as we read earlier, keep yourself from sin, and unspotted from the world, by yielding to the Holy Spirit, so sin doesn't have the dominion over you and keep your prayers from reaching the Lord's heart to help you, as it is written in Psalm 66:18-20 "If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear men: But verily God hath heard me; He hath attended to the voice of my prayer. Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor His mercy from me."
On this day let us remember to walk in the authority and power of Jesus to cast out demons out of our homes, circumstances, loved ones and lives, by the rebuking, loosing and binding of the devil and his demons, when they enter our lives and bring upon us suffering, as the Lord commands us to do in the Gospel of Luke in Luke 10:19 "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you." And in Matthew 18:18 "Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."
For as we rebuke and bind the devil and his hordes of demons against us, we are using the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven and our Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. And the devil only responds to the Lord's Word once we have been saved or born again and are walking and living according to His Word. For remember that in the Book of Acts it talks about those exorcists, who attempted to cast out demons in the name of Jesus, whom Paul the Apostle was preaching about, but ended getting all beat up, by the demons, for not being true Saints of God, as we read in Acts 19:13-16 "Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth. And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so. And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded."
For just as the Father and the Lord knows who are His true children, through Jesus, so does the devil and his demons know who truly belongs to Jesus and who doesn't. And without walking with and Jesus, we have no power and authority to resist and overcome the devil, through the using of the keys of the Kingdom of God and of His Holy Word, as our Sword., through the Holy Spirit.
So stay clean spiritually and keep on using His Word against the devil, as the Lord Jesus did, when he (the devil) tempted Him in the wilderness and decree hope and life in your future, as the Lord commands us to do in the Book of Job in Job 22:28 "Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways." And in Proverbs 18:21 "Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof."
Go with God, have a blessed, joyous and peaceful day, remembering that you with the Lord make a perfect team to work together in service to God or to the Holy Trinity, others and in the putting and keeping the devil under the soles of your feet, where he belongs. So don't give him power to destroy you, by yielding to sin, to settle for less in life, and also by believing in his lies and letting him destroy your hope and faith in God, when the Lord took the authority that he had to destroy us away from him. For as we read by the Lord in the Gospel of John in John 12:31, so He has already done for us, His beloved people. Blessed be His holy name! "Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out."
