We Serve A Living & Mighty God!

Updated: Jan 29

Good day to you my beloved brother or sister in our Beloved Elder Brother and Sweet Savior and Lord Jesus Christ, our Loving and Faithful Almighty God. It is my prayer that this devotion finds you well, both spiritually and physically, you and your loved ones. For remember that as Christians and beloved children of God, it is always well with our souls even as we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, as all things always and daily work together for our good, as we serve the Lord, as we are promised by Him through His beloved Apostle Paul in the Book of Romans in Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose."

For the Lord keeps us safe and saved in Him, as we daily walk with Him, carry our crosses and continue to die to our flesh. For remember that our Beloved Heavenly Father has a good plan for our souls and lives, even when we don't understand His will for our lives, when we suffer or go through the dark night of the soul in our lives and in this world, as He promises us in Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." And as we read it in the New King James Version of the Holy Bible, He says: "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope."

So continue to keep your chin up, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of your life, faith, trials and tribulations. And to hold on to your hope and faith in God, knowing that the Lord is in full control of your life, of the world and of what the enemy is allowed to do in this world and bring upon our souls. Also has a purpose for what He does and will continue to be with you and I until the end of all time, as He promises us in the Gospel of Matthew in Matthew 28:20 "Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

On this day let us remember that we serve a Living God who is full of life and holy fire, as He is the Life and a Consuming Fire. For as we daily live, move and have our being in and through Him, we live His holy and powerful life that is full of hope, faith, joy, peace, courage, wisdom, knowledge, understanding, power, might, the boldness and faith of God and His life that is without the fear of man, but full of the fear of God! For this is why the Prophet John the Baptist said about the Holy Spirit baptizing us with fire in the Gospel of Luke in Luke 3:16-17 "John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire: Whose fan is in His hand, and He will throughly purge His floor, and gather the wheat into His garner; but the chaff He will burn with fire unquenchable."

For our God is a living God and not a dead God, but a God who is strong, alive and well. And as He lives in us and through us, He causes us to be a vessel of fire or of strength that enables us to serve Him, worship and praise Him without fear, but with courage! For His Spirit nudges us forward and upward!

For our God is a holy God whose power is great and unmatched, and because of His holiness, His glory or power consumes those who are in sin, when they are in or before His holy presence, as they are in rebellion and in sin against Him, as we learn from this experience, when we read what happened to Aaron's sons in the Book of Leviticus, when they offered the Lord strange fire in Leviticus 10:1-3 "And Na-dab and A-bi-hu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which He commanded them not. And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD. Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the LORD spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace." And to Uz-zah, when he put forth his hand on the Ark of the Covenant to hold it in place, when the oxen shook it, as we read in 2 Samuel 6 :6-7 "And when they came to Nachon's threshingfloor, Uz-zah put forth His hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook it. And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uz-zah; and God smote him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God."

For this is why the Lord commands us to not be wise in our own eyes in Proverbs 3:7 "Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil." For when we think that we are doing right by God and His beloved people or His will for us to do, when He has not commanded us to do such things, we are in sin and are in rebellion against Him and are being wise or right in our own eyes.

For this is why He commands us to fear Him and depart from evil. For remember what King Saul did, when he was commanded by the Lord through the Prophet Samuel to destroy all of the Amalekites, their livestock and all they had, but instead kept their King alive and the best of all of the animals, as we read in 1 Samuel Chapter 15. For remember that whatsoever is not of faith or of the will of God is sin before the Lord, as we read by the Lord, through His beloved Apostle Paul in Romans 14:23 "And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsover is not of faith is sin." So seek His will for your life and do not assume that the Lord has sent you to do something and send yourself to serve Him, when He has not commanded you to. For remember that pride comes before a fall and that the Lord resists the proud, as we read in Proverbs 18:12 "Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honour is humility." And in James 4:6 "But He giveth more grace. Wherefore He saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble."

So remain filled to overflowing with His Holy Spirit, so He can guide you in the direction He would have you to go in your life and keep yourself filled with His fire and anointing, also through the Holy Spirit. Remember to do not go or to do what He has not called you to go or do, so you are not in sin and in rebellion against Him and stay holy, as He is holy. For remember that without holiness no man shall see Him, after death, as we read in Hebrews 12:14 "Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:" And in Hebrews 9:27-28 "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin unto salvation."

God bless you and go with God, take the Lord with you always and wherever you go, for you will always need Him, and He is a very present help in our times of trouble, as He has promised us, by His beloved servant and anointed King David in Psalm 46:1-3 "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah."

So have a blessed, joyous and peaceful week, and as the Lord wants me to give you this Word of encouragement to encourage you and remind you of His great love for you, so I obey Him, of what He says in the Book of Isaiah in Isaiah 35:4 "Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; He will come and save you." Thank you Lord and blessed be His holy name, now and forever more! Amen!

So continue to wait upon Him, to never give up on Him or doubt His unspeakable love for you!
